    Real World Drone benefits Mankind

My, my, my, first it's Amazon with package delivery by drone and now it's Petco with Poop Pickup. What's next? Walking the dog with a drone? The Americans are getting lazier and lazier.

Creating a drone site to try to increase use

Hey, Zentg, the way my quad crashes into trees, you won't have to be worried about being just another tree in the forest... By the way, I created a web site called ctquadsters.org locally. I have one member: me! That's been a year now..

    quadcopter simulator

A rather extreme example. Here you would be within the simulator. The quadcopter simulator requires you to be outside the quadcopter. Simulators have their place in scenarios like this one illustrates. Even the Apollo 11 Astronauts used simulators of sorts before their flight to the moon. They...

    quadcopter simulator

Using simulators d0es not teach you anything because it isn't a real time scenario. It won't help you when an unexpected wind gust takes your quad into the tree line. The best way to learn something is to do it in real time.

    Can't bind

Is it just me or is this forum doing more damage control after the fact? I don't blame the forum for the mistakes and miscues of those that solicit help, but wouldn't it be more feasible, and less costly, if those that need help ask for it BEFORE the buy something? All the recommendations above...

New and Fangled Anti Crash Designs for Drones.

Gee, I am quite experienced with emergency landings of my quadcopter. It just crashes into a tree or bush and gently (sometimes) falls and comes to rest on the lawn (sometimes).

What do you need to get before Start a Drone Racing

All well and good. Great information and interesting. My problem is just getting my standard quadcopter to stop crashing into trees, bushes, the side of my neighbor's car (don't tell her that), keeping it in the air long enough to stabilize and turn it around. So, racing it is not possible by...

    Quadcopter GIVEAWAY!! JJRC H31

All this advertising seems to distract from the purpose of this forum. Win this, buy that, it all sounds like a come on from a salesman who want's his commision. It's not any better that those other ads for aging creams and such. I think all advertising should be banned from this forum. That's...

So I made an adapter to turn two 3s batteries into one 6s battery and flew it. Holy crap it's fast

I think if you Parallel wire it, the voltage remains the same (11.1V) but the Amps double. So, he wouldn't fry the circuit board but would extend his range and flight time. I would think, also, that the added weight would affect aerodynamics and lift capability. Same power and motor speed but...

Holy stone red HS200W flys at me

Unless it is a dire emergency, don't push that button. You were sitting about 8 feet from it at launch, right? I think that it returns to the controller's position. If you're holding the controller, then it came back to you.

    I Want One Of These

This is like the 'self-driving' car. It is a 'self-flying' people carrying drone. Yes, it's cool. No, I wouldn't want to fly in it. Mostly because I don't know what powers it and if it is a battery, it can't last too long. Even though, it is still cool!

I know this is a quadcopter forum but.......

Your right, this is a quadcopter forum and helicopters are not quadcopters and fly differently. I do own a helicopter but prefer my quadcopter. The one you are showing is a 'true' helicopter as it has an anti-torque rotor on the tail stock. It is more difficult to fly. Quadcopters, while not...

Phantom 4 Reconditioned for sale on WOOT

The word "reconditioned" says what? If it's like a used car, which are supposedly "reconditioned" for resale, it means that there was a problem with it in some way. My dear old departed pappy always said, "buy new and be the first owner, not the second or third..."

I can just see that guy in a Gilly Suit, hiding in his tall bushes with the Barret 50 in the cocked position.

    Help!

The UDI U818A has a unique property I found to be necessary with a bush (and tree) pilot like me. It slams into things (a lot) and keeps on running. I haven't broke a rotor yet (it has a full rotor guard wrapping the rotors as part of its air frame) and I've had it a year. Knock on wood, which...

Your going to do what? This sounds like something out of the scifi realm and needs the likes of the Skunk Works to get it up and running. You are out of my league...
