Syma X5HW Green or the Black one?

I didn't even know they made the HW in green.

The best drones for 2017 - PC Advisor

It's amazing to me that this article pointed to (and recommended purchasing) the 3DR Solo in spite of the fact that 3DR discontinued it and are no longer supporting it.

    MJX Bugs 3

You should have a blast with the X6 - they get really good reviews. Let us know what you think of it! From what Ive seen of them, they fly a lot like the H8D I have. It's a bit of a handful to fly because it's very responsive, but it's a lot of fun.

    MJX Bugs 3

The Bugs 3 was my first brushless. I also fly the ubiquitous X5 and X11's and a JJRC H8D. The Bugs 3 is a very fun sport flyer, but slow it down and it's stable enough to get some very passable video. I used to fly RC years ago, so I wasn't quite starting from scratch. I wanted something faster...

    MJX Bugs 3

A friend is doing a full PFV upgrade to the Bugs 3. So far, he is adding: RunCam Eagle camera Immersion RC 600mw vtx DalRC OSD and GPS unit 3S 3000mah batttery He's been experimenting with batteries and is claiming 30 minutes without the FPV setup. The OSD with GPS module will give him a ton...

MJX also has a storefront on EBay and they say to email them about any Bugs 3 part not posted. Linparts has most everything but yeah...they're a bit pricey.

SYMA X13 hovers at low throttle but flies faster forward and left as throttle is increased

Glad you sorted out the issue, Mike. For future reference, another thing to watch for is a hair wrapped around the prop shafts. When flying indoors the micro and nano quads are famous for picking those up, and it can really screw up their flight.

The Best Toy Grade Quad of 2017 (So Far at Least)

The Bugs 3 is a champ in the air. There's nothing fancy about it - no altitude hold, no headless mode, just a stable, fast brushless quad that's a joy to fly and slows down beautifully if you throw a camera on it. I have other quads I love to fly, but it's hard for that one not to be a favorite...

Syma X5HW does not fly level

If you've tried zeroing trims and re-calibrating the gyro, next guess would be a bad motor. Set it on a flat surface and throttle it up a bit (not enough to lift off) and then cut the throttle. Do this a few times and see if there is one motor that stops consistently before the others. Based on...

Syma X5HW does not fly level

Well, some of them are definitely not in the manual! I have picked them up from others and just started a list so I could remember them when I needed to. Nobody ever accused Syma of writing good manuals.... ;)

Syma X5HW does not fly level

Here are the ones I know of - a couple of these are in the manual Tx low/high power mode toggle: Hold right stick vertical trim up, turn Tx power on, bind. Mode change: Hold right stick horizontal trim right, turn power on. High/low rate: Left shoulder button Headless mode: Left shoulder...

Syma X5HW does not fly level

Yeah, there are a few Syma transmitter commands that never made it into what they call a manual!

Syma X5HW does not fly level

You can reset the trim settings on the Syma TX by holding the left stick horizontal trim to the left, then turning on the TX on. You will get three beeps to confirm the trims have been zeroed.

    MJX Bugs 3

Forgot to mention spare batteries, which will be here Tuesday. I just checked and all parts are available. Not from US mind you, so they're not available quickly. However, you can order anything (upper & lower frame, LED's, board, front LED, landing gear), in stock from Chinese suppliers. Props...

    MJX Bugs 3

I just picked up one of these last week and have 3 flights on it. I'm very impressed with this quad. Its a no-frills (no camera, no headless mode, no altitude hold, no so-called return-to-home) brushless quad that's smooth, fast, and VERY durable. Don't ask me how I know...lets just say that...

The X5 series are a lot of fun and a good, cheap, durable learning quad as well. With camera, landing gear, and prop guards off they're quick enough to have a lot of fun with.
