    Star Wars X-Wing Fighter

I was not happy with the last x-wing model I printed. The quality is poor. The wings are thin and flimsy. So I searched and found a different stl file with much better quality. It also comes with a stand, but the forum won't let me post a picture of the x-wing attached to the stand. It says the...

    A problem on printing

This issue has happened only a couple of times. The last one happened today about 10 hours ago. Problem: The printer was printing layer by layer as it should be. Then at a certain height, the nozzle somehow lost contact with the layer it was supposed to eject the plastic. It would go about its...

Please help probs with Eachine E013 and goggles

I have a Eachine E013. Mine never drops" from the sky due to altitude change. I just flew it for a few minutes before I make this reply. It flew fine. Did you do gyro calibration each time before flight? The antenna ok? Mine fell off and got lost. I had to insert a "makeshift" antenna as...

    Star Wars 3D prints

X-wing fighter AAT …. armored assault tank P.S. The base is not part of the stl file. It is from one of those "bad" prints I've kept. I used it because the model is "back heavy". It won't stay upright. It will topple backward.

    RE : Nozzle choice

If I stick to PLA type filaments, i.e. Hatchbox PLA 1.75mm, the nozzle should be good for a long time. Yes?

    Articulated elephant

I have the octopus, dragon, cat, dog and butterfly. With the exception of octopus, the rest are "flat" surface. I'm not impressed. This elephant is the only one I have that has a "body".

    RE : Nozzle choice

Questions : 1. Why do we need different nozzles? 2. When do we need to change nozzle ? When using different filaments? 3. For a Monoprice Seleect Mini V2 printer, do I need to be concerned about using different nozzles on different filaments? Please don't be too technical. I won't be able to...

    Articulated elephant

It is amazing enough, at least to me, that one can print a 3D model out of a low cost printer. That amazement reaches a new level when one can print a model with moveable parts, all done by the printer itself. No separate parts, no need to glue the parts together.

What is your favorite micro/nano drone?

No. That plug won't fit the H803. Not the same type.

What is your favorite micro/nano drone?

I also have Helifar H803. It's fun to play indoor. But short battery life. About 6 min max. What happens to the Z5? You busted it? P.S. If you have a large indoor space, Z5 can be flown indoor WITHOUT GPS. BUT, Z5 is meant for outdoors.

A new and maybe arduous 3D project

A situation arose while printing the Boots. Initially I had the boot standing upright (vertically) in the gcode file. It did not come out right when printed. I was missing part of the boot at the top. The "flare out" parts were "short". So, I went back to the Cura, and rotated the boot lying...

What is your favorite micro/nano drone?

If you do have decent space indoor to fly, Holy Stone Shadow HS160 is quite nice. It's altitude hold feature is exceptional. It really does altitude "hold". I have it but I burnt one of the motors. Bought a motor replacement, but unable to make it work again. But it is nice to fly indoor. It has...

A new and maybe arduous 3D project

X-Men...….. Woverine # of parts to print : 12 Head Torso 2 arms, left and right. 2 gloves, left and right 2 sets of claws, left and right 2 legs, left and right 2 boots, left and right Surprisingly, the most difficult parts are the Claws. There are 6 of them, 3 on each set. They are thin...

A new and maybe arduous 3D project

I am starting a new 3D print. It's Woverine. It consists of 13 parts, not including the base. Cura says I will need 36 hours and 11 minutes to print all of the 13 parts. Based on my past printing experience with my 3D printer, it will take more time than that. If they come out fine, then it will...

Request : comments on Creality 3D Ender 3

Presently I have a Monoprice Select Mini V2. I am looking for an "upgrade", mainly a much larger build platform than the tiny 120mm x 120mm MP Select Mini. What do you think about the following ? Mind you, I'm in Canada. We pay more on everything than the Southern border. Also, I do not want...
