    WiFi Speed Over 9000

Yeah the signal boosters and extenders can also do the trick. I meant to say Vimeo for yours, but it was happening in every video site in my new office.

    From Hobby to Drone Business?

I don't run a business, but I have done enough amateur photography to say that getting your 107 will be a lot easier than building the shooting and editing skills. You are correct that the basics are very easy to pickup, but developing "your eye" for the type of project takes time. If you asked...

qav105 drift in angel mode issue

My little toy quad has pretty bad drift when I’m less than 4ish feet off the ground- it’s mainly wind from the props I think. If I get to 5 or 6 feet up I can get to hover pretty well after trimming it a bit

    Spork's Journey

Thanks for that review Doc. I definitely have tried God Mode - was very useful. I've turned it back off for now to get a better sense of my "real crashes". I've just done the transmitter off advice you gave. Should help with the battery situation. I spent more time than I wanted to trying to...

    Spork's Journey

Freerider runs okay for me, but Liftoff I have to use potato video settings or its too choppy. I'm really loving flying in the sims, can't wait to fly FPV for real. Liftoff has also been great for letting me try a few different frame design, 3S/4S, motor, prop, and camera angle combos. I've...

What do I need to do next transmitter....

I liked Freerider for starting out, but really like Liftoff better now that I have some practice. I think if your new quads have the FrSky receivers, you just need to create a new model on the Taranis and bind it to the quad. Lots of YT videos on this.

    Thanks for the add

Welcome to the forums. You'll be flying before you know it.

    Lumenier QAV-XS

If you look at his third pic you can see some evidence of soldering. The rest are neatly hidden away - either under the board and maybe in those braided cable covers.

    Spork's Journey

Quick update on sims. I got the Taranis setup and updated. I also got the OrangeRX USB and can get it to bind but it doesn't appear to operate the sticks when I'm in FPV Freerider or Liftoff, so after an hour I gave up and just plugged in the USB cable to the radio so I could get flying. I...

    Spork's Journey

Not sure yet. I'm looking at Liftoff, FPV Freerider, and Velocidrone. Seems they all have plusses and minuses. Once I get a chance to try them out with my controller, I'll land on one of them.

    Lipo Battery Basics from AMA

Thanks for that. I like that idea. I just have four 1S at the moment. But I'll definitely start using your advice going forward.

    Lipo Battery Basics from AMA

Mine only take an hour or so to charge (4 at a time) - so maybe look at getting a better charger? Also I don't sit and stare at them. I just sit them on an empty table or something in the same room as me. I figure I'll notice a fire and can grab a fire extinguisher or something before it burns...

    Lipo Battery Basics from AMA

Another solution I've seen people talk about is using ammo cans with a couple holes drilled into it for ventilation. I've got a couple out in the garage I'll use. Something like this: Also, check out this thread for a vid and a pic of recent battery fires...
