DJI Pilots - Crystal Sky Review

If it's "floaty" but maneuvers according to how it should directionally by the controller, find by me. That shows me that I have everything wired up properly before moving up to the 11.1 VDC lipos. I am a little concerned though. All of the power distribution boards, flight control boards, and...

    My first hobby grade build.

They're 2500mah that I purchased to replace original 1800mah lipos. I've even considered trying wiring two of them in parallel for 5000mah capacity.

You semi-old gheezer!!! You're still a wetnose!!! My Dad was driving Sherman tanks in the Army starting in 1942!!! When you were still laying on your butt in diapers!!! You wanna take this all the way back to the Pilgrims landing at Plymouth Rock???!!! By the way. "Star Wars came out in 1977...

SAC mounted quad M2 Browning .50 Cal machine guns on the tail of B-52B-thru-G models, and 20 mm Gattling gun on the tail of H models. Use both on the AC-130's along with an anti-tank gun just for kicks.:D:D:D

I tend to suspect the Army and Marine Corps to be the ones with shotguns and sniper rifles. Considering that both would be looking for bragging rights between the two of them. You know: "One shot, one "kill"...."??? The Air Force and the Navy are more prone to be looking to test "geewhiz"...

Since DOD will want to avoid media accusations of overkill, expect means ranging from shotguns and scoped sniper rifles, to signal jamming. I wouldn't be surprised if they use intruding drones as an opportunity to test low-powered energy weaponry such as lasers. The US military has used drones...

As I said. I'm not opposed to the 11.1VDC batteries. I just prefer to use up my existing ones, before buying the higher powered ones.

    My first hobby grade build.

I'm building a quad similar in size to a DJI Phantom, or a Syma X8. As such, it is not intended for racing as I have no interest in quad racing myself. Having served as a combat crew member on USAF heavy bombers (specifically the B-52G), my interest is more in maximum distance, maximum flight...

    My first hobby grade build.

I've settled on the motors for my first build. They will be brishless replacements for the DJI Phantom 1, 2, and 3. I've ordered some off eBay, which should arrive within the next couple of weeks. It has come to my attention that the Phantoms use an 11.1VDC battery. I have several 7.4VDC 2500mah...

    Navigational LED's

I was thinking along the lines similar to the two JJRC H25 quads that I have. When power is turned on, they blink until the link is established with the control transmitter. At which time they stay on until power is shut off. I've looked at some automotive LED's which are readily available in...

    Navigational LED's

On a homebuilt, how would they be wired into either the power distribution board, or glight control board? Also on home builts, is there an "ON/OFF" power switch, or do you just disconnect the battery to kill power when not in use?

    Navigational LED's

One thing that I've noticed over some time, is that factory-built quads, both toy grade and hobby grade, have navigational LED's, while many of those built individually don't. I've seen nothing in the FAA regs addressing drones on the subject. Are they a requirement, or just something that the...
