    Look out for that....!

I took that at a cookout I was at and wanted to try to get some footage of the game we were playing. Had it been strangers, I would not have flown near them (the couple I near missed came from behind where I was sitting.) On this run I asked one of the kids if he wanted to feel like a bird and...

    Look out for that....!

It was an FVP flight on an SPC Maker 90A with a 200mW camera, recorded with the built-in DVR in my Quanum Cyclops Diversity goggles. Thank you for the compliment.

    Look out for that....!

The narrowest thing I could hit and I still managed to do so! This is where OSD crosshairs would be useful me thinks.

Quads are very cool ! But this is............

It's not as cool looking as with them off..DOWN WITH PROP GUAR.......um, never mind me. They are hard to keep on for me. They tend to break easier than props, then again my props do little more than sting when hit with them.

    IT LIVES!

Thinking of going with the Bat100 since it has a stack, so I could upgrade if I wanted. The A100 is an AIO, something goes out I need a whole new board.

    IT LIVES!

So I have been told. More power, longer lasting, also opens up better gear than brushed. Both would work with my current collection of batteries and one might be able to use my pile of props from the 90Xs.

    IT LIVES!

I'm looking into the Mantis85 for 2S or the Aurora RC A100 for 1S

    IT LIVES!

I spoke too early on mine. I am having PID issues (pitch and roll changing to 0 in flight) and the ground wire came off the camera. Was too irritated to try fixing it, maybe today.

    IT LIVES!

My first hobby grade quad was a QX105 Bat that I had very little success getting it flying. I had to deal with two dead boards and long replacement times which eventually led me to give up on it. I later bought replacement motors to get it back in the air because it was the only quad I had with...

    Simon Says....Get Swagged!

A couple of videos from flights earlier this week. The first is from a trip to my boyhood home to visit the folks and brought my gear along with me to pass some time (dad loves to and only watches westerns and NCIS and I can only take so much of both.) When I was growing up my friends and I...

No worries, who wants to be on here when you can be out flying? I currently fly a brushed SPC Maker 90X (1s &2S) racer. Will move up to a 1s/2S brushless once I get my skills honed (currently running in Acro Trainer.) I am working on different rates, even making a database of settings from...

Well, if it can keep water out, it could keep juices in!

What GPS tracking device did you use?

I return you to your scheduled quad-related programming. :)

What GPS tracking device did you use?

Started out in 2001 after Clinton flipped the switch that gave GPS to the public. One guy got an idea to reverse how gps could be used, buried a 5 gal bucket full of goodies and not to goog goodies (3.5in floppy disks), posted the coords on a forum and waited. From that Geocaching was created...

What GPS tracking device did you use?

No, it's a physical game that uses gps, either on an app or gps handheld, to guide you to an associated set of coordinates. Then you have to search for the container, like a scavenger hunt. An example, I have one that will lead you to the back lot of a strip mall where broken up concrete was...

What GPS tracking device did you use?

Using billion dollar satellites to find tupperware in the woods! People hide containers of varying difficulties (mental and/or terrain) in places all over the world, post the coords on geocaching.com for other people to find.

    Got your drone wet???

I had heard something about breaking in motors but didn't look further into it until now and came across this interesting post about the topic. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/electric-rc-helis-167/5628228-brushed-electric-motor-break-guide-not-just-helis.html The reasoning makes sense.
