Just got done watching your new video and, as always, is an enjoyment to watch. I am curious what your settings are for your quad. I noticed that your moves are precise and wondering how you do it. Advice?? :)

    The RatKwad

Like a rat rod but with a quad. Home alone, bored and it was raining, so I played mad scientist with the frame of a CX-30, coreless motors and an AIO F3 flight controller that was collecting dust to make a LOS rig. A bit of finagling and a razor blade and...... IT LIVES!

That is some killer tricks and a great location as well!

    Flips and rolls lol

I tried acro trainer in my backyard yesterday with the rates at 1000 and it was easier to control than when I flew at the sports complex. I was able to stay lower to the ground, which has been a constant issue in acro, and after a few mins, I was able to fly laps and even managed to fly...

    Flips and rolls lol

Night and day! I am impressed with the settings and how the quad feels. I was able to do a few laps where I had to do very little correcting and it made for a smooth move around the course.

So brushed motors of the qx90 can handle the upper end of rates (1000+)?

    Flips and rolls lol

I completely missed these from earlier in the post but glad you reposted it. I watched this before I had a hobby grade quad and it made little sense then and I forgot about it. This is my current setup. I will be putting this information to the test after work.

    Flips and rolls lol

I am thinking of working on the Acro trainer mode in replacement of angle eventually. I don't do stunts around the house since I have many trees and I have a hel of a time staying low like I do in angle.

    Flips and rolls lol

I headed out to the local sports fields down the street to work on acro flight, here is a small clip. Then after the fields filled with kids and families I went home and did some angle flights that gave me some Arse Puckering Moments (APMs)

Makes me want to go out and get some acro training in.

    FAA Clarifies "drone" jurisdiction.

Let them tell me I can't fly around my house.

Chip upgrade helps miniature drones navigate

This caught my attention while browsing nanotech news. https://techxplore.com/news/2018-06-chip-miniature-drones.html

I agree with you there. At the time I was not aware of the difference between the pluh sizes. I had only been into the hobby a month or so and hadn't learned the difference at that time. I'm a wee bit more enlightened now having learned from the mistakes.

Sadly it's been more than an occasional issue for me woth BangGood. Had two FC go out, had to downgrade the motors so not to blow a third still waiting for the specialized motors 35 days and counting (might be here today actually). Poor quality antenna on vtx which lead to the video dropping and...

Has anyone ever gotten cut from the blades of your drone?

Wouldn't think a miniquad would draw blood but I clipped my elbow and sure enough, it did. I set a two switch arming method early on.

That is the way of those type of companies as I have painfully learned. I had a refund that began with just $10 on a $55 quad and I keep the quad when I demanded a refund for a bad FC on a quad. I told them that the FC separately was $29.99 and that was the least I would accept. Fortunately...

    Getting Better

Got my SPC Maker 90X 1s version today and took it out on a test run...and killed a motor already. Good run tho. Made some gates from fiberglass electrical fence posts, hula hoops and pool noodles. Less than $10 for both.

Practicing power loops, some proximity tree dodging

I did some Horizon and acro for a bit and honestly, I don't mind doing loops and rolls but it's more fun flying in and around things so angle is good for me.
