    Tree Support..... first time

First time using Tree Support on Ender 3, Cura 3.4.1 I was a bit apprehensive looking at the finished print encased with support. As it turns out, it was not hard. The supports were mainly thin in structure and easy to be cut and removed. Before : After :

My MP Select Mini is saved from scrap yard

After boxing my broken MP Select Mini and left for dead for 3 months, and armed with limited understanding of 3D printers accumulated from a short 5 months experience, I decided to give it one more try to fix it. First off, the Bowden connector ( exstrude coupler?) was broken. Unable to secure...

A new set of chess pieces

Unlike those chess sets I printed before which are either too "ho-hum" or too "funky", the set I found from Thingiverse yesterday is both traditional and elegent. It can grace any living room. I used Anycubic Mega S for the white pieces. Ender 3 for the Blue pieces. No Support needed. Anycubic...

    Miniatures........ finally.

Thanks to member Renover's advice, I finally managed to print some miniatures. My problem was not on printing them, but on removing the stubborn Supports without breaking the needed parts. Renover's suggestion works very well. Here are my miniatures done in last 2 days. I am not sure I have the...

    "Mini" is not for me

Yes. That makes removing Supports a lot easier. Thank you very much. Don't overlook the micro mini at the front row, right side. It's less than 1 inch tall, 1/2 inch wide.

    "Mini" is not for me

On Cura 3.4.1 which I am using ...…... There are : Support Z distance Support top distance Support bottom distance. They are set at 0.1mm. Not sure that is what you are referring to. Support x/y distance is at 0.7mm I'll check the more recent cura. 4.3 version.

    "Mini" is not for me

Tried to print miniatures but failed miserably. Problem is not on printing. Problem is on removing the supports without breaking the parts needed. I use Cura . I don't know how to use the fancy "tree support" option. I tried the "touching buildplate" option, but some parts did not get printed...

    Interesting designs

Interesting. Is that a "direct extruder" type of printer? One curious question..... was the printer still printing while picture was taken ? Some parts seem to be incomplete.

    Ain't no way we're related

6 or 7 months ago, I started to try 3D printing. Expected a big learning curve since I knew absolutely nothing about this trade. Started with a small Monoprice Select Mini V2, and I printed Star Wars' own R2D2 ( the one on the right of the picture). Now that I understand a bit more about 3D...
