    Why did this happen?

I am printing another model with different filament. It has gone pass the 2 and a 1/2 in height. It's going as normal. No accident, and I didn't even so much as checking for loose screws.

    Why did this happen?

I was printing a "double twist" hollow vase. It went smoothly until it got to about 2and 1/2 inches high. Then apparently the Z axix did not move up accordingly. Nozzle hit the print and so ended the printing. Can someone shed light on this? I have had prints as high as 8 inches tall. No issue...

Prints in gold and marble filaments

I'll be a dancing monkey ! A perfect print ! Not a single layer is out of place. This is a jigsaw base model. If layers shift, jigsaws will not be able to snap together.

RE : Double Z Limit Switches

Thank you. The reason I mentioned layer shifting is that, if the Z axis was supposed to move up 0.2mm, but instead it moved less than that, that could create issue on the layer it was supposed to print. Yes ?

RE : Double Z Limit Switches

Questions : What does that mean ? What is the advantage(s) ? Would that eliminate layer shifting issue ? Thank you.

    3D printing problem

Thank you. That discussion from your link was made before Cura 4.1 was even introduced. I am using Cura 4.3. Not sure how relevant is that. Acceleration Control and Jerk Control have never been enabled in my Cura 4.3 Speed is set at 50mm/s since day one. Think it is low enough?
