Replacement arrived and I did most of the setup Monday. ESC's look good so far, so I'm going to do the motor soft mount and dial in the expo's a bit and it should be ready for test flight.

I just picked up an Eachine Lizard 95 to replace the bad one Banggood refunded me for. Got it 90% set up, just want to soft-mount the motors, play with the expo's on the model and it's ready to go. I set it up on the Jumper T8SG Plus I bought a couple of months ago.

The X8SW is a nice flyer and a good quad to learn on, but the WiFi FPV is basically useless. You also run some risk of the FPV signal interfering with the control signal, since they are in the same band. If you ditch the camera you have a wonderful little quad to learn to fly with. As for how...

Ren, I've looked at that iron. My only concern has been that I dunno who the OEM is, and everyone sells them on Amazon with their own names. Should I have any concern about it not being OEM?

Welcome to the forum! I used to fly RC gliders and (FP) heli's a long, long time ago. Got back into RC with quadcopters and more recently picked up a couple of inexpensive heli's to play with as well.

Annoying fact about Flysky transmitters: they don't tell you they bound to the receiver, even when they did. They just stay on that binding message. Turn the transmitter and receiver off, then back on again, and I will bet you find that they are bound.

Nope, it was doing the same thing with props on. Motors wouldn't spin up to full throttle and one would barely turn at all. :(

Tried doing an esc calibration and one motor smoked when I ran them up. Looks like a bad esc, so I contacted Banggood for a replacement. *sigh*

Ok, got the new Lizard 95 mostly set up and ready to go, soft mounted the motors, bound (Flysky FS-i6x) mapped all the modes, and then checking all the controls in Betaflight (newest version), I get this weirdness. This is with full throttle input:

I'm with GD on this one. Most of the subtleties of tuning are happening at the higher end control extremes. Air mode is operating at the other end of the power spectrum. I wouldn't expect it would change the results of your tuning.

Now I'm working on minor mods to the Lizard 95. I usually won't buy anything that I know I have to mod out of the gate, but this one seemed worthy of making an exception. Soon as I get the motors soft mounted I'm going to configure it.
