Well did you fly today post videos here

Looks good. Are you using nd filters?

Thanks and yes, Most popular is the ND16 lately and I have also been using post filters... Teal/Orange is my favorite...I leave the WB on cloudy so the colours often come out very light.

Things are slow in post ATM working with a 3YO MacbookPro but am lining up a new Mac Pro with lots of ram, an SSD and a good video card to smooth things out in post work...also waiting to see what DJI reveals on the first of the month, P4??? going to be an expensive spring as this new hobby blooms.

I am using 3 stop(nd8) on both of mine, but I am noticing that it is too many stops on the phantom in partial cloudy conditions, but just right on the inspire.

I was using a mac mini, but I could barely watch 1080p on it, so I built an i7-4790k hackintosh that rips through 4k like nothing. Having some horsepower definitely helps with post processing.

If I had the time or interest I would build my own system but that ship sailed long ago. Today I just want turnkey RWHP without the wrenching ;)

I like Vimeo better as there is less advertisement and I can upload larger files for less than the others....I'm not interested in sharing with a large audience and Vimeo allows me to control my content where again others don't. Vimeo=Better for the artist. Others=Better for the advertisers.

I thought this might be the case, I'm thinking of using both all depending on what I want to do with it. Your video is much more smother than the one I posted, mine is much more robotic in moves as yours is much smoother. I need to keep practicing, it's just Central Oklahoma doesn't have the terrain I want to video.

I'm still Also extremely new to flying camera's but I love to watch others video's, not just for the content but I'm always watching to see how they put everything together especially when they are trying to work with the chosen music. I find that the really hope good videographers follow a storyboard type procedure with an intro, a body and a closing, I try to keep that in mind when I go out to fly a feature. Of course other times are just for fun or to try new flying techniques, I've been really working on reveals and POI (without using the auto POI) shots lately. Maybe one day I'll be good enough to justify purchasing a high end bird, but today I'll keep practicing.
I'd really like to justify an ACECORE NEO but I have lots of flying to do before that ;)

I wonder how much that cost? Crash that with a 60K camera would ruin me for several years, I probably wouldn't stop crying. LOL

I'm doing the same, watching and studying, practicing. So much to learn and so little time.

Finding music that goes with each film without being repetitive is the most difficult for me(I do repeat the music lol), and then you have to time the shots just right to go along with the music. It would be much easier if we were making bank, but for me, it is all for free right now :D
