Heh, heh. It's a lot cheaper to crash one of those. [:)}

Brushless motors are long lasting and more trouble free, but I would guess they break apart in a crash about as well as other motors.

Smart thinkin'. Go for the el cheapo to keep gaining skills and then move up.

Well, I'm currently waiting for my X8G... Thank you for the improved manual and tips! @Bostjanc , what parts /spares are you selling? Are you in US?
 
I just bit the bullet and bought a DJI Mavic camera drone. I really like the part where it folds up to the size of a water bottle and you can slip it into a (big) pocket, yet it has camera stability and virtually all of the performance features of its big brother... the"Phantom" drone used to shoot TV commercials. Unfortunately it sounds like it will be several months before they catch up with the rush of orders and can ship. Oh well, Christmas in February.
 
The price seems to be universally fixed at $999.99. I have not been able to find a single different price (other than some that are much higher.... go figure)

Parece un buen precio para un excitante drone. [:)}
