What is the correct steps to start and caibrate before take ooff. Any advice? If then maybe I can taken off and control it properly without returning it. Let me know if u guys have a formula way of turning it on, calibrating, and take off.

Yes the transmitter and quad are facing one way and the IOC or headless mode thinks some thing different

first make sure the transmitter is not in headless mode then turn off the transmitter and power it up again then make sure quad is facing the right way, back towards you then power up quad Dont move the quad or sticks on the transmitter till the gyros have calibrated ready for flight once this has happened try and fly it

You may feel stupid but my comments about drones and quadcopters - is one you will find in a lot of post when first timers join the forum - and meant as friendly introduction to the ethos of this forum and its members

I am niether a "kid" or Australian - I am English - and my comments about drones - is an opinion most on this and other similar forum share - and this forum is American owned.

You may want to drop the attitude if you expect people to offer you any help.

AS for - My lack of knowledge!
It is plain you have done little if any homework to learn the basics of the hobby/pastime you have decided to be involved with.

I suggest you read your own comments about learning skills in talking to people - sarcasm and insults will not make you many friends.

The main problem is that you don't know how to pick out good vendors from those bad ones...I hate those Chinese frauds too!!

Just like @Quadcopter102 , I ended up getting the best of them in the end. I didn't fight for more, but that's what happened because Gearbest didn't want to make it right when I reached out to them.

Honestly, I tried my best to give them every opportunity to make things right in a fair way for us both. I offered to take a partial refund that was just enough to cover my cost to fix the broken quadcopter. I also offered to return it to their US warehouse at my cost for a full refund.

They only offered $60 refund ($200 total purchase price), or I pay to ship it to China for full refund.

Shipping to China is a joke. You either pay $50 +/- and wait 2-4 months in hope that it actually shows up (no tracking offered that way), or you can pay UPS/FedEx etc. $240 +/- to guarantee delivery and have tracking. Either way was not going to work in this situation.

So, when GB kept on with the same crap offer I told them straight up I was going to dispute the charges with my bank. They kept on and on.. So I disputed with the bank. While waiting on the bank and after around 15 emails from GB with the same crap message over and over and over, I finally told them "Ok whatever!!" to shut them up. They then gave me $60 on their site so I ordered 2 cheap quads and the bank gave me a full refund on the $200. So all in all, I have a pile of parts some no good, but most are good and 2 working toy quads and I'm not out any money.

Now I'm just going to spend just a little more and order from Amazon for now on. I might even only order from "prime" users so my items arrive in just a few days. At least they have excellent customer service, typically quality items and I know it will arrive. Besides, if you spend the time to look around and really search for what you are looking for you can find prices pretty close to the China stores on there.

One more question, what is headless mode, and how does it work differently from high /slow mode. When do I use headless, why should I use headless

It's much better to learn flying by orientation first. Later when you are comfortable flying that way you will find a use for headless. If you loose sight of your quad, you can flip to headless and bring it back towards you, but again this is something that can only mess you up if you fly in this mode without learning to fly by orientation so try not to worry about this mode until later.

"our economy" I take it you mean China? Its a fact that their economy is on the slide. China has just blocked all your billionaires taking money out of the economy to buy property in Aussie.
As for not knowing how to pick "good" Chines vendors - I would say - how about China making some consumer laws that stops every good idea - invention or design being freely copied and used without legal constraints?
DJI is THE number one store and if I buy direct and pay $2000 or more and its bust - basically I am without any warranty and have to pay to ship back to them and from them to me.
HobbyKing are similar - yes you can RMA defective stuff... you pay to return and if your RMA is rejected you have a choice - pay to get it back or Abandon it.
No Fuss returns - yes you can return it if you dont like it when it arrives.... but you only get 80% refund and no shipping fees in that.
In UK, Aussie and I guess the USA and most other countries - that is not allowed.

Myself and Glo both had dealing with online stores... so devious they have three different websites all run out of the same office - and YES I can prove it.
The know they will pi** people off and they will go elsewhere... so like spiders they wait for us to get caught in their web.
This group - do not willingly give any refunds to payment source - you get lashed up with a store credit... and week of time wasting "support" tickets".

BangGood seem to be trying to change their ways and I have to say I cannot fault them in the orders I have placed with them and for a valid reasoins - refunds are back your payment source.

The bad guys in China only exist because there are no consumer laws, no anti piracy laws and no copyright laws or is there is there no legal system that can enforce them.

The DJI Phantom quad design is the most cloned of any and although worth Billions... Eric cannot stop anybody in China from cloning the design, Much to the copiers pleasure and profits.
