Has any here had a problem buying thrrough GearBest?

Not as perfect as I thought. The order was for a 250 size quad. Build is going good for a first timer, luckily I've had some experience with soldering. I did get a little suspicious though when I tried to use the Diatone chassis plate with built-in PDB and it just didn't quite line up. I just chalked it up to one manufacturers part not fitting anothers product. Then the lightbulb went on and you guessed it, it's bang on 280 mm between prop centers. Really doesn't matter to me being my first real quad and maybe it'll be a little more tame than a 250.

Well many times the stated numbers by the manufacturers aren't bang on. That said I'd rather have a true 280 over a 250.
My thoughts exactly. My only concern is if the supplied 2204-2300kv motors will be sufficient for the larger 280 frame?

Hmmm, just received my first order from gearbest. Well packaged and arrived in less than 2 weeks to Canada. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. However I will take note of the previous discussion and order from banggood when possible.
Yup. Better safe then sorry. I guess...

There is no doubt that some folk get good stuff.... but the odds on getting quad related stuff in 100% condition are high.
While I complain frequently and loudly about EveryBuying ( again - EB are couple with GearBest and Tiny Deals in the same office) - although it took weeks and many replies to "tickets", -
I did get a full refund ( my Syma X8 Ssaga is well documented on another thread) - albeit to a store credit - spent on yet another - defective item - which in return gained a $45 refund - which + a few $ more bought a set of 4 perfectly good Mars Motors.
The second defective item - my Devo 10 radio turned out to have a USB issue made to look worse because the drivers used when I "upgraded" The Walkera Devention firmware to the better Deviation firmware - had issues with my Win 7 PC. After I eventually got the drivers to install and some pushing and shoving with the USB connected board and some wire shifting - it seems to work OK... snag is I simply don't trust it!
So most will say ... OK you had problems but got credits and ended up with two separate items. OK, but I consider 50% to be payment for teh hard times..time spet on emails etc,. and having to wait almost 2 months from first order - and still not having a RTF quad as was the intention.

I found in many "complain here about xxxxx " websites that's seemingly 1000s just walked away with getting a refund or a working item. I just cannot do that! If I pay for something I give credit for Service, Quality and Reliability ( which was actually my company byline in the UK!)
If I get ripped off.... I may not win back a few - but they know about it!
EverBuying - GearBest - Tiny Deals - why do they need three websites - which are run cheap basically because there is only one really admin cost. Web domains annual costs and webbies to look after the websites - are not really a big cost compared to what is raked in. But - IMHO - they use three websites to catch the folk they pigged off with defective stuff... and look for another supplier!
I would doubt quad related products are their main source of sales when you look at the other stuff they peddle.

Is there a lul in quad sales...?
I see youTube stalwarts like Quadcopter 101, Frequent Flyer and painless 360 and others - are getting fixed wing stuff... dune buggy and racing cars... Aliashimo(?) a while back was wizzing a RC controlled motorbike, other items are 3D printers. OR is it that more reliable sources of quality RTF, Bind n Fly stuff are becoming known about.... time will tell..

It's funny how one rotten apple can spoil the barrel.
I ordered some batteries from the supplier in question on the 2nd of last month and they're still not here.
I get the same lame response each time I enquire where they are so my last communication was to request a refund.
I'll try elsewhere in future I think.

I placed an order last night, and got notification that was shipped less than 4 hours after my order was placed. Tarantula X6 is on it's way!

I've got one order pending (a BNF quad) with GB. Like you, got the shipping notification promptly but will see how long it takes and if it arrives in working order. ;)

Btw, according to the site it's being shipped via Netherlands Post. I'm in the US on the east coast.

I hope their shipping notifications are accurate - I have orders with Banggood for items that "shipped" (according to their website) on the 27th Feb, yet the couriers have yet to receive the shipment. After checking with the online chat team, the order hasn't "actually" shipped yet, and nor can they tell me when it will. I have to "wait at least 20 days (not including weekends) before they will investigate further…!

I guess this proves the old sales adage:

"Quick, Good, Cheap… pick any two"

Even though I've now asked for a refund twice, they seem to be ignoring me, insisting the package is on its way.
Excuse my language but its really freaking me off now.

Slow shipping can take 30 days or more, do we assume you did not pay for faster shipping or a tracking number?
The only way to get sense from GB is to open a PayPal dispute for a refund...or if you used a bank/ credit card, ask them to get your money back.
If you have seen my posts about them....you will know my dislike off all similar stores. I use BangGood, one delivery never arrived...they refunded to PP without muchtrouble.but did ask me to wait two weeks longer.
Fact is ...depending on what you want, you an buy direct but pay shipping g method/ type according to the cost and products. I bought 30amp Emax ESCs paid $8 for slow shipping. Bought the same from BangGood who charged about $3.59 each (4) but free shipping . They were about $2 more than the Emax direct order. So there is no free shipping from them. Hobbyking are supposed to be good....until you have a problem....then you join the circus ...jumping through hoops. Like others if the ship your item is defective ...and you want a refund...they deduct shipping because you used it. I will never understand that logic! Their lack of testing or supplier quality control allowed them to ship rubbish and waste your shipping fee. And their shipping fees are higher than any other IMHO.

Hi I second that they will make you wait till after the due date ,if it does not come get PayPal to get you a full refund

To be fair, I’ve had both good and bad experiences with Banggood and Gear Best. Right now I am waiting on some extra batteries and spare props from Banggood that are approaching one month since order placed. These aren’t keeping me from flying so not really an issue. Still, have to wonder when they’ll show.

I know many dislike eBay but I’ve had really good luck with sellers there. In well over 100 transactions (some quad related, some other hobbies) I really have no complaints. Do your research, shop around, and check feedback and reviews carefully. What I like is even when shipping from China, the eBay items arrive fairly quickly and you usually can see the tracking.

Better correct my previous post....

The $3.59 mentioned above was MORE than Emax list price - should have read -

The price increase with BG is to cover post - my thoughts are that BG had them sent out from Emax direct.

In reply to Birdy - I agree with you about eBay - where you have buyer protection - but really the sellers are a bit scared of to much intervention by eBay and will either refund or replace. I have found that the odd one who resists and keeps asking to wait more - usually refunds whne you advise that enough is enouh and unless resolved in 24 or 48hours - depending in your patience - you will open a case.
In their defence on slow shipping - I have had two instances where a very late deliver which was credited - turned up! One was only a couple of $$ so I repaid them via email. The other was for a Phantom prop balancer shaft from a USA seller ebay seller - who it turned out when I tracked his website - was a dropshipper for quite a few items. Seems it was sent out late and he did not know - he said! Anyway I repaid him via PP.

It's now past 33 BUSINESS days since my order, 46 actual days.
I did get a tracking number although I fail to see how that would speed up the process and as for paying for faster shipping, I doubt it would have made any difference given the responses I've had so far.
That's the longest I've had to wait for any delivery so congratulations to them for that.

It ain't coming mate! .. if you had a real tracking number - you would be able to see its path from them to you and its route via airports and sorting stages.
My advice is to open a Paypal dispute or ask your back/credit card or whoever you use to pay them - to get your money back.
GB will NOT refund to you your payment in "cash" - they will offer a refund - eventually after at least 2-3 weeks - but it will be a store credit. This forces you to buy from them another item and if yo are really lucky it may be OK.
If you can - check out my thread from last year about a defective Syma X8W...

Paypal dispute started on the 25th. I did have a real tracking number by the way but you should see the vague garbled cryptic crap every time I try to use it.
I find it frustrating but also funny that the fact that I've informed them that I'm not prepared to wait any longer and about the paypal dispute for the return of funds, I still get broken English messages asking me to be patient and to wait another 10 -25 days for delivery.
The last message asked me to confirm my delivery address even though they sent me a pic of the parcel with my delivery address on it! :D
Sod it, I give up. I'll let paypal sort it.

I ordered the exact same item from Amazon on Friday and according to their tracking, it'll be delivered today.
