Anybody here offering Ariel Photography services?

Just got my first real drone, and starting to wonder if I could make some extra cash offering ariel photography services. Just posted a CL ad as a test.
I live in a rural community, and remember years ago there was a guy who used to offer this in a small airplane. People would pay hundreds of dollars for an ariel photograph of their home steads.

Maybe drones are so common now that there's no money in it? I don't know.

Anybody doing this?

Back when the internet was young and domain names were something of question and web sites were rudimentary, I designed web sites and made money. Now I sit back and watch all the business I could of had go to the big firms that do the same thing I did, but for a whole lot less. Competition IS rampant and the small business owner is dealing with companies with the size and growth of Walmart. Apply this to your idea and it will go the same distance.

There is money to be made as long as you deliver quality images and videos to the customer. Not sure where you are from, but in the states you will have to have to be, or have a remote pilot on the filming location.

Get lots of batteries, and get ready for traveling if you decide to stick with it.

Here is one project that I recently completed. (I also provide stills too)

I have been doing it for awhile, don't bet your Mortgage on it but it is a great way to make extra money doing what you love. I stay within 6 counties surrounding me which keeps the travel reasonable. Need to do a lot of personal marketing as well.

My Site:

YouTube kinda sucks as it takes forever to upload 2.7K & 4K video ( which is what I provide my clients if requested ) so I elected to upload 720p for faster loading & buffering .

Yes, nice property, however, t might of been prudent for being more salable had the Nuke Cooling towers NOT been included in the montage. At least it wasn't for property around Chernobyl. Lots of vacant land there...

Yeah there was no way to not include it and capture all angles so I just rolled with it, and the client loved it.

I am fortunate to have a gig connection so it only takes a few minutes to upload my videos in 4k to youtube.

I also have a website too. It's http://rrlphotography.com if you want to check mine out.

Nice Site RRL, How do you like the Inspire? Seems to be my next logical step once I get enough operating capital under my wings:cool:.
I envy you with the 1 gig, who is your service provider? The max I can get here in Central FL is 60 mbps if I use cable, I am set up with 30 mbps using AT&T, Do you require fiber optics for 1 gig xfer ?
Again great photos & video!

Thanks! You have a nice site too. Professional and clean. I think I am going to change it from a one pager to speed up the load times, and have a video playing in the background. I have seen a few sites like that, and they look good.

I love my inspire for what it is, but it is pricey. I purchased the cinemadng, and prores licenses, but I have not purchased any drives yet since no jobs have required it. It is a solid machine that performs, and I like the redundancy of having two batteries, but I don't like the cost at $320.00 per pair. Also be prepared to pick up the pelican im2875 storm trak case if you plan to flying anywhere with it. The case that comes with it is decent, but there is no way to lock it.

Our local utility company (EPB) provides our internet. They also have a residential 10gig option available too. Here is a test result from this morning.
