Syma X8C gimbal!

I've heard good things about that camera mount generally, BUT...you will want to put small zip-ties through the rubber balls, because they can pop out and disappear in a hard landing. Also, I would save up the $ and buy a sport camera (GoPro knock-off) that has image stabilization. You will want that feature if you're going to use the camera on a non-GPS quad, and that will push the price up. I use an SJCam SJ-5000x Elite and it shoots great video with the image stabilized. Without image stabilization the video won't be nearly as good.

Thanks for the great info Rick!

Could you give me some links to some of the Sport cameras you are talking about. I would like to keep the price under $75.

Thanks.

I'm not very familiar with what's out there. I'm happy with mine (SJ5000x Elite)and it gets really good reviews, but you can't get it for less than about $90, and that will be on Ebay. You will need to do some research...look for the features you want, and digital image stabilization, then check out reviews on your options.

Ok, thank you!

But there is one problem, The gimbal I got only fits these: SJcam SJ4000, SJ6000 and SJ7000.

What do you suggest?

Would this one fit it?
More than just fit you should be also concerned about weight. Syma's fancy HG/HD camera does not have a built in battery, for a reason. When it comes to those fragile Syma brushed motors weight quickly becomes an issue, not just flight times but motor wear and tear.

This a small all plastic camera that comes in at ~58 Grams with the battery. As a comparison Rick M's SJ comes in at ~ 74 grams. Compared to others it has a rather small 900mAh battery (needs to be charged often) which contributes to it's lower weight. That mount you want adds ~42 grams.

See it here and decide if it suits your needs, currently at GB for $30.

The camera Jackson just referred to is the FuriBee Q6 like the one rinolong sent to me.

I have not flown with it but do intend to use it with a head mount or tripod to supplement the aerial shots. Since it is my 1st "action camera", I have little to compare it to, but I can say it performs far better than several much smaller cameras I have around yet not as well as the excellent one on the Autel X-Star.

I will not discourage you from buying it; I will encourage you to consider it. I like mine.
