newbs first build help please

I have a confusing mess.. and no soldering iron. Gah
That power distribution board is way too big, you will need one with I believe 32mm hole spaces to fit any of the mount holes on the frame. You can get them from amazon for like 2 bucks. As for the rubber things I'm not aure, my dad had them laying around at his house so I snatched them.

well im seriously considering making a power harness. Would save a lot of trouble

After making a power harness for the ercs what else would require power? And this "what else" can it be hooked directly into the power harness?

Would there ever be any reason why I would need to solder on to this? for say, the gps or camera or anything.. because id really like to keep it in its box.

From what I read it looks like I may need to some day. Hey can I run libra pilot on thos cc3d chip? On the website it says open pilot is discontinued.

Why bother making an accessory power harness? They're cheap.

Snip that white connector off, solder one of these in its place, then plug it straight into the the female JST you (hopefully!) already have coming from your PDB.

As for your CC3D, yes - OpenPilot is no more, vivre LibrePilot!

Yes, you'll be running librepilot. You should never really have to solder onto your flight controller, that's what the two extra ports are for. Your four esc's will draw power from the battery, then your flight controller will draw 5v from your esc, and your reciever will pull power from your flight controller

I've
does this go inbetween the two main frame boards like the arms do? Also, what are they for, and how do people ususlly mount the four led strips? Do they attach to the board directly? Or is it user choice? Are they needed?
I've got 2 mounted on the underside of the bottom plate. White in the front and red in the rear. It helps with orientation

This yhe connector end I received with my pdb . Is this the typical type connection a battery uses?

That's a deans connector. I prefer xt 60 but it doesn't really matter, you just have to make sure that you either get batteries with deans, or wire up a few adapters. Might be good soldering practice

I think he was talking more about a wire harness to power his esc's. I do like that though, might have to pick one up

Okay thank you. Also, what is this I hear about bec? My esc has them I think.. but it says output 1amp / 5amps? What deos that mean? Also.. whats this about cutting wires off of three erc because you only need one to do something.. can someone please explain?

It should be volts not amps. Your flight controller only takes 5v to run, so the bec takes the voltage from your battery and steps it down to 5v to power your FC. It only needs this from one esc, so you can pull all but the signal wire from the remaining three. I don't have mine pulled
