Highly interested in this advice as well.
iv just got the wizard (my first quad), word of warning if you are getting it from banggood.com buy some props from amazon. They are out of stock on the props, on the comments some people have been waiting 2 3 months.
I got the £160 wizard 4 sets of props, control, FPV ready to fly (ish) you have to set up arming it in betaflight be for it will fly.
the FPV antenna was useless (or the sent us a duff one)
but on the plus side iv had some big crashes 20ft drop, 2 trees, a wall with no damage at all to the quad. its built like a tank. I'm learning to fly it with stable mode turned off (its not going too good getting there thow)
I'm having loads of fun with it
you think i can stream the camera view to my iphone while I save up to buy a googles?

It might just of been a duff antenna it only worked 10ft away, Iv got a clover leaf coming tomoz ill let you know if it works
I'm new to this stuff but to stream it to your phone I think they work on 2.5GHz and the FPV transmitter on race drones is 5.8 (I'm probably wrong on that, I remember reading something abut it on about the phantoms 4)
check out your local stores for used FPV googles I got some fatshark v4 googles with a micro drone for £120
how well can you see in the camera with the goggles ? is it pretty clear or blurry

Hey qball! Sounds like we may have watched the same YouTube review to make our purchases, haha! I'm curious what remote you are flying with? I went for the Taranis over the FlySky and I'm having issues getting the receiver to talk to the quad... Everyone is just saying plug it in, bind it, give it a quick check in Clean/Betaflight and go fly but I plugged mine in, bound it and... nothing happens.I've watched so many positive reviews for the Wizard that Im sure Im just missing something but I've spent like 15 hours trying to figure this out so far with no luck.
I'm on the fly sky i6
had the same problem couldn't get props spinning. I'm on beta flight but I think I works the same.
In the controller I went in to settings- then aux channels- and put channel 6 on VrB (one of the switches I wanted to arm it) on the flysky you only have channel 5 and 6 to play around with
then in betaflight go to modes and where it says arm, move the orange slide bar to right hand side so when you move the switch to on it falls in that area. select aux1 on mine that's channel 6 (when you flick the switch you will see a line move into the orange bar)
so now when I move VrB switch that arms it so I can fly. if I'm picking it up turn VrB off so I don't chop my fingers off
just remember to click the save button or it wont save
Thanks for the feedback!!
I had suspected that it might be an arming issue so I'm going to look into this tonight! I'm hoping once I set the arming up in the Taranis, I'll be able to see it (the Taranis) in Clean/BetaFlight. That's been part of my frustration; not only can I not control the quad from the remote but when I get the quad successfully pulled up in CleanFlight I go to the Receiver section and when I move the sticks around nothing happens with the colored sliders on the screen. It's like it's not even turned on which is what has made me think the problem was between the receiver and the FC. I'm excited to play around with getting it armed though cause I had run out of ideas.
I have been working in CleanFlight simply cause I found a really in-depth tutorial for it so it was nice to have my hand held. From what I've seen it should be pretty close to BetaFlight though, just a little more simplified. This might be a good time to step up to the big leagues, haha!
