    Good aux/gimbal radiosystem

Does anyone know of a good radio that is just for Axillary stuff? I sort of need one joystick, and it would be nice if it had other features too, but not absolutely necessary. I plan to use it to control a gimbal on the quadcopter, that way you have one person flying and another operating the...

$128 250mm quadcopter build kit for anyone interested

I was browsing through Ebay and saw this cheap quadcopter build. It is not RTF (you will have to put it together), and it does not come with; Rx/Tx(transmitter and receiver), battery, or any FPV equipment. It comes with a mutiwii flight controller. If you think you might be interested in...

    Project 600-650 mm Quad

There are some cool budget frames here. The prices vary, but you should at least give them a peek. If you can get free shipping all the better, because it could cut down your shipping from HK.

    Project 600-650 mm Quad

Acts as a PBD and 4x25 amp ESCs. I almost bought one, but did not. Also in the third picture (below), it appears to be a Rx or MB. Any idea what it is. I guess it could be power for accessories, but that does not explain the white wire.

    FPV not working

Are the Tx and RX adjusted properly. What I mean is that some are adjustable on the signal frequency. If so, can you try to hook up a wired video link to establish that everything is working on that end?

    A HEAD FOR HEIGHTS

    Quadcopter not flying

I was talking about the power of the motors not the speed per volt. ^ But if that is true that be a good way to keep it on the ground lol.

    Project 600-650 mm Quad

You don't, it is just makes getting power to all of your ESCs neater and easier. If you look at mine you'll see that I just soldered wires into a power distribution harness. in the end I may etch a one out of copper clad PCB. Some of the fancy ones will offer cleaner power (less fluctuation...

    Help on first build

450mm so you only have room for 9'' props. So higher KV motors would be better suited. With the 1000Kv motors you can turn 9X4.7 props.

    Quadcopter not flying

Do you know the weight of your build? According to the page it says that these are for airplanes. Quadcopters dead lift. It could be that these motors may not be powerful enough. The page does not tell anymore than the KV of the motors. Do you know the wattage?

    Flying in snow?

Snow could melt around the electronics. But more importantly the LiPo batteries don't have very good battery life when cold. There are also cases where the voltage drop over time is much more sudden in cold conditions vs warmer conditions. NEVER charge a cold LiPo. If you fully charge you...

    Project 600-650 mm Quad

Mine runs 1400kv motors and swings 9x 4.7 props. It is not off the ground yet, but I have all on the electronics done. I just need to mount the last three motors and do wire management. Once that happens I''ll be ready for flight.

This has a thrust calculator among other things http://www.ecalc.ch/xcoptercalc.php. This calculator is solely for thrust (easier to use but less thorough http://personal.osi.hu/fuzesisz/strc_eng/ ). As for the thrust most recommendations I have seen is that you need at least double the...

    Project 600-650 mm Quad

Lower KV motors are more efficient, but less reactive/agile. 880kv motors can push around 12'' props at 4.5 pitch while staying below 20 amps. What type of thrust do you need?
