Help building my first quad/hex copter

Anytime ;-). I burnt out one tx, bought another, then found out it was not compadible with my reciever and they gave the wrong specs on the site where I bought my rx. I got the 32ch combo and it worked great, took a total of 5 minutes to un-box and setup.

    Introduction and build planning

I was getting ready to suggest the 9x as I was reading your post. :) Tour flight controller has a built in voltage alarm. You can also get simple voltage alarms to use.

    Perhaps, still annoying lol.

    Wierd science

I looked around and found it was REALLY common among music junkies. ;) I also found that it makes the molecules align into a more crystalline structure. This could become really common among racers of quadcopters, thanks for sharing this, opened a whole new spectrum. :)

Newbie toy grade vs Hobby grade RTF

The one I am talking about is also under 5. Here is a small video of it being flown indoors, I may never finish editing it or do the voice lol. I was surprised how it handled wind. I was afraid at first to take it out, but I did more damage inside lol. Either if you are not comfortable...

    RC ABBREVIATIONS

I thought the S in GPS was System, anyways here are a few to add. http://blog.oscarliang.net/quadcopter-acronyms-term-glossary-word-drone/ It was done by Oscar liang, he comes from electronics side of things before he got into quads like me, so there are some Acronyms that aren't as common in...

    more help needed please

It is possible to create a balancer for self tightening props, but they are only as balanced as the manufactures can. So about the same rate as regular props :(.

How small is too small? I love to fly this one outside.

    Wierd science

Care to explain more about this process? Is this common with audio equipment? I know that freezing some metals really cold can lower resistance, but is this the case for audio equipment?

    Syma X5C battery polarity wiring

I must ask why this was designed this way? Thanks for posting, this would be a sure way to ruin a quadcopter or battery.

First build, only 1 motor spinning properly!

Welcome to the forums. If you calibrated the ESCs that should have fixed it. Have props off the motors and run it a little under full (no props can cause it to burn out the motor for running too fast) for a few seconds. Then disarm it and check the joints to see if any are abnormally hot...

Help building my first quad/hex copter

Yeah, most people like to run 2.4 for quad and 5.8 for FPV. I did and it works great for me. I would suggest a 32ch tx for your FPV, that way it is compatible with almost any 5.8g receiver. You technically can run 2.4 FPV and controller, but you will get noise in your video, and terrible...

    Introduction and build planning

Looks good, but I would get a different Tx/Rx, because it is a knockoff of a FrySky, and will not be as good. You do need a power distribution board or cable. The battery you have is probably compatible, but I could not find specs on your motor. Maybe @holtneil can confirm or deny this...

    Help with Quad build

Yeah, I agree with Holtneil CF is the best right now. If you catch them on something you don't have to worry about stress points that break during flight. I have never seen 3 blade props in CF, though I am pretty sure you could find them.

    motor problems

That is the problem with buying from China. I try to avoid it, but is hard. Japan does really nice on electronics though.

    Camera that follows object

It is called soloshot, take a look, if you want a 3rd person view of your quad in the video it shows the camera following a phantom. I have had the annoying problem of no one to help shoot some video of my quad, so I am limited to a very little space in front of the camera. You can even get it...
