Check the settings in the software. There is one channel that is the reverse from what it looks like. (It slides the way the control moves so it looks correct) I think this may be your issue, and not allowing you to arm.

That is odd. Mine always stops, and lets me know the sd card is full. Not sure where the setting for that would be.

The range will differ depending on interference, but the dbs doubled my distance, and some report that the shield comes close to doubling range, although it did not for me. For me the range was increased by about 200m around my house, but I have a lot of interference where I am.

You could try swapping motors, and escs around to check for faulty hardware, but like @tylorwashere stated; the motors should not all spin at the same speed so that it will be stable in the air.

I would recommend the Phantom 4. It is easy to fly, has a beginner mode to start you out while you learn to fly, collision avoidance, safety features like return to home, and it takes really good video. It also has a built in simulator to learn how it flies also so that you could learn the...

What are you flying, and what size props are you getting? bullnose can deliver a boost in performance from what I have been told, but never needed them myself.
