Hmm, do you know this by experience?

    New guy

Funny story about my H8, it was originally bought for my wife who wanted to learn to fly quads. I was teaching her to just take off, hover and then land. Well she took off and flew it straight into her hair on the very first try where it got tangled. Unfortunately she never tried to fly it...

    Just Ordered A Quad today!

Last year about this time I started a thread asking about recommendations on a new drone and I gave specifics of what I wanted Jackson recommended a rtf drone, I looked into it, liked it and bought it. (QX90) A year later it is still flying great, in fact I just punched 3 batteries through it...

    New guy

Welcome to the forum. I have an H8 and its a very good toy especially for flying around the living room. If you ever get bored, take it outside and fly straight up until it gets out of range. It'll fall back down and you'll regain control before it hits the ground (hopefully). If you love...

Need help with my Syma X8 upgrade

Okay I own a Syma x8c, but I haven't tried upgrading to the brushless motors but your post is interesting. You say you got a new tx but it's for a syma x8hg? That tx is not compatible with the flight control board on the x8c. Although it might work somewhat, you're not going to get the...

    Battery connector adapter question

Yep I've already got a three pack of those batteries they work great. Thanks for the links, I knew I was asking the right folks. Btw those 2200 mah batteries you linked have worked very good in 100's of flights on my Syma. Those are the exact ones I want to try on my Bugs 3.

    Battery connector adapter question

Okay fellas thanx for the replies, looking for a t30 to banana connector. I don't really want to change connectors because the ability to use one battery in two different quads is what I'm hoping will work.

    Battery connector adapter question

Hello again freinds! I've researched this extensively on the interwebs and have not really found an answer so I thought I'd ask the most knowledgeable people I know: Will this adapter allow me to use batteries intended for the Syma 8x with my bugs 3: I believe the bugs 3 has t60...

Charleston helicopter crash blamed on drone; FAA investigating

Hmm, I can see it now. Anytime a helicopter crashes the pilot will just say "the evil drone made me crash", wether there was a drone around or not.

    Ordered a bugs 3

Hey thanks Jackson good find. I'll keep that in mind if I decide to upgrade to the runcam. Right now I'm fairly impressed at how well this cheapo c5830 performs. According to a review I read on RCgroup it is a 500mw. It works very good, we'll see how long it lasts.

    Ordered a bugs 3

Ah never mind I figured out the little box with an X in it just means there is no memory card in the camera.

    Ordered a bugs 3

I think so. There is a little box that pops up in the lower left hand corner of the screen; it has an X going through

Should I get a new antenna for my fpv screen? I think I'm getting an antenna warning on my fpv screen. The antenna on the monitor is different than the antenna on the c5830.

    Ordered a bugs 3

No it was definitely a c5830. I had to file to corners off the front of the housing to get it to fit. If you look close at the front of the plastic housing where the camera sits you can see the corners are rounded inward. It didn't come like that, but a needle file did the trick.

Illegal to Fly Over My Neighbor's Back Yard?

This wouldn't have been an issue when Arnie the governator was running Cali.

    Ordered a bugs 3

Bugs 3 update: finally got the thing in from China and it has flown really good for two backyard hover tests so far. I was able to install the c5830 fpv cam without modification to the aircraft: Using a couple files I was able to modify the housing that holds the camera and electronics. It...
