Good news for x6b (flysky reciever)

Yup just don't kink or shorten the exposed part of the antenna wire it should be around 12.3mm or whatever the speed of light is (roughly 3x10⁸ or 300,000,000 m/s divided by 2.4GHz (or 2.4 billion) and get 12.5mm as the length for a wave at that frequency.

    Naze32 GPS

If flying acro/freestyle there is little to no advantage to having a GPS and compass. It may in some slim cases help locate a downed quad but audible beepers LEDs and crash over after flip or turtle mode are all more helpful in finding a downed quad assuming you have some rough idea of where it...

Yah I crash every time I go fly I just try to make sure the crashes are something my quad can come away from and be repaired.

    JJRC quadcopter problems

@Gray "Performance" is much like "strength" in that when it comes to details there are various ways to break down these terms and could mean different things. To make an analogy the "performance" of a car depends on the "requirements". A F1 car is great on a track made for an F1 car but isn't...

non-eu mobula 7 flash to eu lbt

I think for regulator compliance that is using the correct frequencies and power output allowed in your region is the reason for the different receivers. I can say for sure for vtx you can configure betaflight with one set of frequency values or another to send over smart audio control link to...

My last ditch effort to learn

Yah it should just turn the light off entirely once the battery is charged, the other parts sound the same as behavior on mine think mine is the same design just repeated a bunch of times to support charging a few cells at once, it works well and each cell is individually charged still so don't...

My last ditch effort to learn

Oh also agree they went a little too minimalist on the documentation if you didn't already know how to setup betaflight with a new receiver there isn't much guidance here. The kakute F7 flight controller manual is the opposite goes into insane depth but still have to just get it online they...

My last ditch effort to learn

Full charge from empty is usually about an hour. With my tiny hawk 2 race it runs on two 1S tacked together to make 2S 450mAh and gets 5-7 min flight depending on wind and excessive power loops :D

My last ditch effort to learn

Not sure which charger they sent you maybe a pic and me or someone else can identify it. If it is this one the LEDs flash green when nothing hooked up they go solid green when charging and they turn off when fully charged... Kind of crappy user interface if you ask me but they do the job.

What Did You 3D Print Today?

In hindsight I should have had the support ribs go through the cylinders that are meant to hold rods to put the wings on the fuselage but learning as I go here.

What Did You 3D Print Today?

A buddy of mine found a fixed wing in the woods where he works and I got it to bind up and it sort of almost flies. Long story short I had to print some parts for it but now trying to design and build my own plane (I have no idea what I'm doing so this should be interesting). Learning from...

Hi. I’m new here. I’m in North Carolina.

Good news iNav is working pretty great from a setup standpoint just need to make sure all my motors are going the right direction and should be ready to maiden it again :) with the new fc software on there. Hopefully a maiden plus tuning I don't destroy it but will keep you posted. Also have a...

Hi. I’m new here. I’m in North Carolina.

Wow it is a beautiful build not sure how it flies but at least it sits pretty :D Welcome to the forum let us know if you have specific issues or questions can try to point you in the right direction. In general Joshua Bardwell on youtube has a ton of content covering betaflight and recently...

Motors spinning up with props on

The flight controller expects that when it applies throttle to a given motor that edge of the quad is going to be lifted if it is pinned down or has no props then it has no control authority so it gives throttle and nothing happens that it expects so it gives more throttle. Basically the FC is...

    Eachine Wizard flips over

FC = Flight controller it's the main board in the center of the quad that takes in receiver input and outputs throttle control signal to the ESCs (electronic speed controller) which in turn controls the flow of power to the motors.

Yup hear yah on the toasting components it does suck but replacing an esc or a motor isn't too bad (4 in 1 ESC makes fixing more painful usually unless you can find exact swap out). Still turtle mode comes in super clutch when you have no other options.

Indeed regarding the trees at first just avoid them but also can use a painters pole from hardware store to poke anything up to 30ft up. Above that you'll need to have turtle mode enabled on a switch and learn to use it, basically disarm quad go into turtle or crash over flip mode and then arm...

Hi Joe, Welcome to the forum! Couple of tips from someone who also transitioned from a fair amount of line of sight flying to fpv, get a simulator or three. There are at least demos of a lot of sims, fpv freerider (on mobile too), velocidrone, lift off, drl, etc. Your controller will work as...

    Beast SG906 PRO advice

Full disclosure I don't have one of these and I typically go the DIY route of build up a quad from parts where the cost ends up higher but I get to choose what goes where and how it all connects. The type of flying I like to do is more in the style of "acrobatic" or "racing" rather than a...

    DJI digital fpv deal.

So just had to come admit I caved in to buying the DJI digital system, got the deal with two air units and goggles. I'd been looking at it for 24hrs so the time I'm spending thinking about it was starting to cost more than just buying it :D anyhow should be here in a few weeks will give my 2 cents.
