Lipo Battery Guide One About Voltage from Gens ace and Tattu

kv is the relationship between supplied voltage, and resulting rotational speed, not accounting for the current drawn. So it is true that a 1000K/v motor will rotate at 1000 RPM for every volt (difference of electrical potential between two points, or electromotive force). If you were to...

PRICE DROP - 450 Quad and Enough Parts for a 290 Hex - Columbus, OH - Local Only

If you haven't sold it by time I am going back through Ohio I might buy it. From Portsmouth/Wheelersburg area (about 2 Hours from Columbus), but I'm living in California right now. Whenever I come back I fly into Columbus Airport. By then I'll have to decide how badly I need another quad...

    first build. Motors Accelerating?

Forgot about the airmode quark as well, this is on most baseflight based flight controllers like cleanflight, raceflight, or betaflight. So if by chance you are running airmode the PID loops are running even at 0 throttle, so the I gain will sky rocket as there is no reaction to the input...

    first build. Motors Accelerating?

Take a look at the throttle in the configuration software, what does the throttle look like there. Sounds like something might be setup for Heli.

Absolute Noob - Some questions [Controller ID]

Check the receiver type. Look for Sbus or serial something. Try to see if any of the modes work if those don't. Might also have to do receiver mapping.

i need help building a simple quadcopter .if anyone knows plaz reply me

I've gotta go to work 5 minutes ago, but here is a link that should help you get a rough idea. Unless you meant the small coreless DC motors like most tiny toy grade would use. http://autoquad.org/wiki/wiki/m4-microcontroller/

Absolute Noob - Some questions [Controller ID]

Looks like a Naze32, but I can't tell 100% sure. I think they are on rev 6 right now too so that would put it in the right category. Lot of different people made them, and many were china without a brand which would explain the lack of markings.

Absolute Noob - Some questions [Controller ID]

Can you see any numbers on the silk screen on the board (white writing). Most notable board manufactures like to advertise their board and almost always have something even if it is a number followed by a revision number it should be useful to allow you find what you have. The MPU6050...

    FIRST BUILD: QAV-R (6")

Bigger batteries will let you fly longer, which is probably what you need to get started. But at a certain point the weight of the battery exceeds it's usefulness in capacity and it becomes less efficient. Something like a 1500mAh 4S would be more suited as less weight also gives you...

    FIRST BUILD: QAV-R (6")

You expect us to believe that THIS is your first build? Either way it is a good looking build, you might desire to go with a bit smaller batteries later on after you get the hang of flying it. Also if you can afford the room you might get a full sized antenna. You could try some DAL...

After you get used to them they are easier to fly. They also handle failures better. You can loose an ESC, motor, or prop and still land it pretty easy.

Need to hear your input for a MIT Drone Project

I know you may not be able to answer this just yet, but when you say new architecture do you mean software modifications or a big change to the hardware?

Need to hear your input for a MIT Drone Project

Noticed a spelling mistake on number one. Also any chance at getting some more options there regarding battery technology or is this survey more focused on things that can be improved in the scopes of this project? All of the given choices are really easy to do with a little bigger budget...

    Bigger Batteries???

Nah, your battery should be fine, just change the props out to 3 blade bullnose and you'll be doing flips and power dives with it.

Coyote X with TBS elite stack build

With that you could also do a lipo and a fuse, then have a few sizes in fuses to allow you to prevent electronic damage for lower amperage or have it for higher amperage. Either way this is an awesome thing for ESC flashing, and bench testing. Also works for LiPo stuff outside of quads.

    Charger For My Dom 3s?

What other batteries do you have? Also a balance charger would be best for the battery as it slowly charges each individual cell through the 3 pin balance port. Which charger do you have and what batteries are you using to fly?

    this hobby gets expensive quick!

Was gonna get into some CP quads but thought better of it for the cost reason hahaha. Looking to get into paragliders in the next year or two though. I want to take some lessons before I hop into the air first though. It looks like a big cost to get started, but only gas and the...

    this hobby gets expensive quick!

Yeah, I'm sure about all hobbies are this way, but I know for sure this is common to get in on a little budget build and keep upgrading to the point of realizing ou could be making car payments on a nice vehicle
