Well did you fly today post videos here

We haven't had the greatest weather lately, but today was nice so I flew my HolyStone out front for a little bit over lunch. Uninteresting flight and no actual quad pic as I've removed the camera since it stopped working anyway, but I was stunned by the sky, so I ran inside to grab my DSLR.

    Idiots keep happening!

I just stumbled across this one...335 acre wildfire caused by a drone crash: http://www.thedrive.com/news/19305/drone-crash-caused-335-acre-wildfire-in-arizona Not saying he's an idiot for crashing, because we all do that, but since the news story indicates they are still trying to identify the...

That sucks. Leave it to the criminals to figure out how to use technology for nefarious purposes. Hope they caught him. I assume you mean fingerprints, Moz? Love learning new little phrases. Over on this side of the pond, dab has a completely different meaning.

Did you try that? If you double-click it and a Windows Explorer (PC) or Finder (Mac) window shows up - then it's already formatted. If not, then right click and look for a format option. I don't have a spare card in front of me, but google "format SD card" - it's pretty straightforward.

    Which tiny whoop?

FPV Freerider is definitely a great start. Although, as I noob, I wouldn't call the gates humongous. LOL. I mean to you guys with more experience they probably are, and definitely large compared to the gates in Liftoff. Depending on the course, I can usually hit the first one or two, but then...

    Spork's Journey

Thanks, Doc. Regarding the dropping - it happens at every altitude from 2' to 16' (all indoors). The only way I've found to eliminate it (95%) is to move at least a touch faster than slowly. As soon as I slow to say less than half walking speed or try to hover, then the dropping starts. I had...

According to the manual (if it's the right one), the USB you are talking about is likely just an adapter that let's you plug it into your computer. Manual: http://www.brookstone.com/static/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-itemmaster_Brookstone/default/v1520412113132/pdfs/990455p_manual.pdf You...

    Charging 7.4v LiPo from Car's 12v system

Wow! Nice telescope collection, Hal! A couple years ago, I started getting into astro-photography, but never pulled the trigger on gear as it was too expensive for me at the time. So I only did multiple long (10-15 second image) exposures with my DSLR on a tripod. Definitely something I want to...

Nice. I never considered commuting, as my job at the time was 32 miles - one way. Funny you mention not being in the Lycra crowd, I was the same. I ended up riding the 100k in the Hotter than Hell Hundred. After that, I downsized to casual weekend riding here and there. Still get out on the...

Yeah, I'll bet. I've got a Trek hybrid and a PureFix hanging on the wall in the garage and a couple unicycles up in the attic. Mrs. Spork is considering getting a bike soon, so I may start thinking about the Surly again. I've got too much quad gear to get first, though, so may be riding my...

I hereby dub thee "Sir Torc the Sinister". Cool, who knew they had castles in Cincinnati. Also, love those Surly bikes. Have a few friends with them, and was saving up for one, but sort of drifted away from cycling before I plunked down the money.

I used to have the Trail 70 (also around 14). Loved that little thing. My brother and I went joyriding one day without dad's permission while he was at work. After he whipped our butts, he sold it - lesson learned, but motorcycle forgotten - until today.

Also, I'm starting to think about my build again and really liking the Armattan Jalapura frame - probably in the 3" with a RunCam Split. Thanks, Rick, They are 3.7v 250mah and charge right up to 4.2 with the included charger - so guessing they standard LiPo. I thought so on the low voltage...
