    LAANC Permissions

That AIRMAP app is fine, except there should be a PDF User guide to show you how to use it, rather than sitting there and guessing what to do. Actually there is instructions. So, I in haste concluded incorrectly.

    LAANC Permissions

I already took the Recreational UAS Safety Test and got 100% on it. I have a TRUST Completion Certificate from UAV Coach, whatever that's good for. That web site you indicate is for the same thing.

    LAANC Permissions

Found out I already have AIRMAP on my smart phone. Couldn't figure it out then or now. I went out to that web site for Certifying Drone Pilots. I might as well learn to fly a manned plane and get that license instead, for all the crap they put you through simply to fly a drone while standing on...

    LAANC Permissions

That's a good question. I went out to the FAA web site an d looked at the process for applying for the LAANC Permission. It says how to do it, but doesn't say how long the permission is in effect. Typical government program run by some bureaucrat not knowing the left hand from the right hand.

    SJRC LANDING GEAR

A landing gear will add weight to the quadcopter and will affect the aerodynamics of it. If the quadcopter didn't come with a landing gear snd unless it is specified as an option, I personally, would go with what I got. and be careful where I fly it from.

Anyone in the northern NJ area?

I only made a suggestion, what you do is your choice. Of course, I like that $2,000,000 Liability policy the AMA has for its members. You know, in case your model aircraft crashes into some person and injures or kills them. That would be a real bummer if you're NOT insured. But then again, it's...

Anyone in the northern NJ area?

You might go out to the AMA web Site and check for clubs in your area. Please be aware that drone flight is regulated by the FAA and many clubs are AMA sanctioned with their own set of rules. It's better and safer than just flying. AMA link is Go to AMA Web Site here Click link above. When you...

New BS from the US Government.

Proving whose drone it is would be a problem. At 400 feet or 130 meters and at speed, it would be like trying o identify a bird flying over. More useless ink on more useless paper.
