    Express LRS first try

Thanks! Yup was fun despite just an empty field, had to keep it kind of tame since somewhat tight area for the 5" and kids around, but luckily they were all cool and didn't chase the quad around this time. Also my props need replacing, banged them up last time was flying at the RC field with...

Motors stuttering and turning off at high trusts

If prop on effects things it could either be that extra load on the esc is too much or that the prop is imbalanced, after running it can also check if the motor is warm or hot, warm is okay hot is bad, if you can barely touch it then the motor is getting more current put through it then it can...

Motors stuttering and turning off at high trusts

Ultimately it does seem like an issue with the esc(s) maybe try flash them back to defaults and test unloaded (no props) see if the extra current draw from prop is making any difference. Otherwise would try another esc really, you can try diagnosing the issue with an oscilloscope but will be...

Motors stuttering and turning off at high trusts

Curious what protocol is being used for the pixhawk FC to escs on the signal wire (PWM, or DShot600 or something else?). Believe pwm is more susceptible to noise and requires calibration (look up esc calibration if curious or haven't tried that yet). I can see the video link now too btw. Does...

    hello :)

The sticks use hall sensors to read the position instead of potentiometers so should last long and the firmware/software on it is openTX which is open source and has a "openTX companion" desktop utility for backing up firmware or models setup and doing more advanced flashing of the firmware to...

    hello :)

https://www.racedayquads.com/products/radiomaster-tx16s-multi-protocol-rf-module-opentx-2-4ghz-rc-transmitter-w-hall-gimbals ^^ that is just slightly nicer version of the radio I've been using for a while and is good for beginners and should be good for the long haul. Learning to do initial...

Can you determine soil health with a multispectral camera

Hiya, welcome to the forum. So not entirely clear on what you're asking here, you can use Google Maps or other mapping solutions and add overlays with your own data or imagery in some cases but not sure if you are asking about the mapping or the data analysis or the capture... it's all possible...

Drone that could carry a person?

While super impressive looking that's also very illegal, that said there have been quite a few "man sized quads" over time I've seen on youtube and elsewhere even a racing league in the works for one of them but no doubt takes some beefy gear (and balls of steele :D ) If attempting anything on...

Unable to bind FrSky XR8R with Futaba T8J, just a green-red steady light

I don't believe futaba tx will work with frsky receiver in most cases unless you have a different tx module in the transmitter module bay that can communicate with the futaba fhss or faast protocols, frsky uses ACCST or ACCESS protocols over the air, spektrum uses DSM/2/X over the air depending...

Eachine EX4 (JJRC X12) battery expanded issue

One thing you want to avoid is having any sort of condensation build up on/in the cells so don't want them to go from freezing to warm humid environment or really just don't want to freeze them entirely. The condensation can cause things to short out or just accelerate corrosion of metal...

Eachine EX4 (JJRC X12) battery expanded issue

Yah storing at slightly lower temps can be an okay strategy but even at room temp good cells should* be fine for quite a long time, Jehu Garcia a guy who refurbishes/rebuilds cars to make them electric has done some tests on 18650 cells that have sat on a shelf for years. I myself have had some...

How the Martian Air Force starts?

^^ talks about it a bit but Mars is a crazy place to try and fly something really, has most of the gravity of earth and basically none of the atmosphere so sure they had to cut a lot of corners to just make it work. Honestly surprised it made it there and didn't crash on maiden, that's almost...

    2nd build=confusion

If one motor inconsistent try resoldering connections for that one motor and make sure screws holding it in are secure and not jamming into the motor windings.

Difficult to fly in pilot sight of view or FPV

Oh yah for sure less tilt is good at first if you want to fly slower want a flatter camera angle if doing racing then want to slowly up the camera angle to get used to flying at slow speed and slowly ramp up.

    2nd build=confusion

^^ should support both based on this page most things that will run cleanflight will run betaflight no problem, I think emuflight or iNav are both more limited with regard to board targets that they support without a ton of fiddling but BF and CF are closely related.
