    You aren't kidding. That's impressive.

Newbie Needs Help with H501s Questions

To add to the already answered questions: 2) The best you are willing to fork out for, but definitely a Class 10 micro SD card. Read reviews and look for people who use them in quads or cameras for recording video. Compare read/write speeds. Faster is better. 3) A 2S (2 cells wired in serial)...

The Case for the H501s- Flying w/o Propeller Guards

You can make the case for using the prop guards inside, but don't ever use them outdoors. They increase exponentially the chance that the quad will catch nice and tight in any tree you're unlucky enough to tangle with. Props are cheap compared to lost quads.

How big of a hassel ordering parts from China ?

That's 8 days! From a Taiwan supplier...huge win. Makes me think they had stock in the U.S.

How big of a hassel ordering parts from China ?

Unfortunately the only solid guideline for shipments from Asia is place your order, then wait and see. I haven't had any issues except one time with Banggood where they inadvertently omitted the street number and name from the shipping address. That one made it to the local post office, who then...

    Batteries and their storage

Yes, that is the best practice for maximum battery life.

    Ordered a bugs 3

Definitely a difference. Lots more punch and speed. It also greatly increases a mild bad behavior the Bugs 3 has: it doesn't like fast transitions from high to low power settings and has the tendency to get unstable and drop. To compensate, most people shift to tri-props. You give up a little...

Well, that basic approach will work with about any quad. The key is finding the right version of that idea for an individual quad. This is the idea behind a lot of guys throwing a 25mhz all-in-one (vtx integrated) camera on a beginner quad like a Syma X5 or similar, and having an instant FPV flyer.

Beginner drone suggestions (LiDiRC L15FW,Syma XH5C)

I've flown the Syma X5 series and the MJX X708, and both are good. If you're going the X5 route I would keep it cheap and simple and buy an X5C. They're bulletproof and easy to learn on. The X5HC props (check Ebay and Amazon) are a nice improvement to their flight characteristics once you're...

    Ordered a bugs 3

No worries. I'm going to start hunting around for the connectors (3S balance female and JST-RCY male) and see if it's feasible and cheap to make the connectors I'd need. We all learn from what other guys and gals have tried! So far I haven't invented anything, just learned a lot from other people.

    Ordered a bugs 3

Interesting question that I never considered. Yes, but I doubt you could buy that connector. The vtx I buy will have its own connector with one positive and one ground connection. If you made an adapter that started with the 2S balance connector, then ended in a connector that matched the...

    How drones fly........a short tutorial.

I let the magical smoke out once and the quad wouldn't fly, so I think you're right.

The Owl/Eagle size/style cams will fit right in the space where the front LED is. However, those are not all-in-one cameras, meaning they need to be plugged into a video transmitter (vtx) that broadcasts the video signal back to your goggles or screen. You have to buy the vtx separately and...

    Which DJI

There are no bad choices there. However, if you want to stay clear of the price tag on the Mavic Pro, I would go with the Spark. I think you will definitely want to add a transmitter with it and bring the total to $499. This package is going to keep most hobby flyers and picture/video takers...

    Ordered a bugs 3

I picked up a Runcam Owl Plus for the Bugs 3. I'm going to shop around for the right vtx for it and turn it into a combination sport flyer and FPV quad. It's running on 3S, so should be a fun FPV flyer in angle mode only.

Thanks for the Advice- I pulled the Trigger

If Parrot could get the Bebop2 with the controller to a more reasonable price that quad would be an excellent option, too. I saw it under $300 briefly somewhere last year, but it didn't stay there. They keep bundling it with goggles, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. o_O I have a...

    Dinner and a Drone?

I'll bet this will be huge in India, which IIRC is not drone-friendly country. Seems to me I've ready it's hard to get any of the decent prosumer quads into the country. Mind you, no one serious about flying quads would buy this, but I'll bet a lot of people who have never seriously shopped for...

Thanks for the Advice- I pulled the Trigger

Congratulations! Hope you have a lot of fun with it. As far as the antenna kit, given how cheap they are, I would go ahead and buy and install the antenna mod. Check out...

HELP - Visuo xs809w doesn't link to the controller

I missed that it connects to a smart phone and flies. In any case, if it had this issue out of the box, I'd take a video and go to Gearbest for a replacement. Frustrating I know (just went through it with a quad I bought for my son for Christmas!), but they will likely tell you to keep the...
