Not enough power for take off

With 1S it should only really ever be charged to 4.2V anything higher is gonna be fire hazard for the cell, but my guess is the voltage you're seeing reported is just off because of analog to digital converter that is munging the actual values. If don't have one suggest get multimeter and check...

Not enough power for take off

Another variable I didn't mention yet is motor kv because I assume sticking with the same motors but a motor kv is effectively how many rpm it gets per volt applied so a 300kv motor does 300rpm at 1V and 600rpm at 2V but if you push too much current through a motor in a given time you'll end up...

Not enough power for take off

Yup either could be an option, if the components support higher voltage then could try higher cell count battery, alternative can get a lower mAh capacity therefore lighter battery to reduce weight. A higher pitched prop or a larger surface prop will both get more thrust per rotation (or one...

Not enough power for take off

If weight or props didn't change significantly then the power to weight should still be about the same, generally speaking 1 or 2S quads will only fly for a few minutes before needing a recharge though. Motor rpm is only other thing that effects thrust and motor rpm is dependent on the voltage...

Not enough power for take off

Might seem obvious but make sure using a freshly charged battery. Betaflight doesn't limit current in any way really it will just give low voltage warning, but doesn't really do anything else to restrict power from the batteries.

    3D printed Quadcopter

The FC is a pretty good one but make sure it is "soft mounted" on screws between rubber grommets and that it can move a tiny bit when pushed (nuts aren't too locked down)

    3D printed Quadcopter

Yup esc calibration can never hurt, but if the motors respond as expected in the motors tab using sliders though then that should be mostly fine. Some vid always helps can post a private/unlisted vid on YouTube and share a link here. Do some ground testing with just right stick make sure pitch...

Not enough power for take off

Double check your receiver tab values in betaflight make sure 1000 for min 1500 for mid and 2000 for max, maybe reset pids to defaults that come with the firmware as well or if the frame mfg supplies pids to use on a specific version of bf then can do that to eliminate any broad tuning issues.

Building a VTOL Fixed-Wing and need to switch off 2 motors

You may also be able to use the aux command to map an aux channel to something other than what's presented in the GUI but still not seeing the exact path from make a mode that controls a custom mixer...

Building a VTOL Fixed-Wing and need to switch off 2 motors

Think if really want to do this on a single board you'll need to define multiple custom mixers and figure out how to get betaflight to switch the mixer being used with the "modes" tab or a switch/aux input setting the given mixer to switch between "quadcopter mode" and "fixed wing mode". Did a...

Can’t tune this thing to save my life.

Try reducing the p gains also are you seeing it when just flying normally or only in turns or when recovering from a dive/loop/roll?

    Reverse direction of some motors

Just made me think if there's a brushed quad that supports "3d mode" where motors go reverse direction it would have an H-Bridge to do that which will let it reverse the current through the DC motor as well as throttle it in either direction.

    Reverse direction of some motors

Ah no worries. Yah with brushed in general can just swap the two around is your easiest way, if the circuit delivering power to the motor has/is an h-bridge instead of just a transistor I think it can be reversed in software basically but I imagine that's kind of uncommon.

    Reverse direction of some motors

You can do it but you need to use BLHeliSuite32 and it is basically done by modifying the ESC configuration. The BF FC will act as a bridge and "passthrough" the ESC connection onto the USB when using BLHeliSuite32 https://github.com/bitdump/BLHeli In there you would select each motor and can...

LiPo battery charge level for storage

No prob glad that made sense :). And yup the issue is usually trying to find cells that are the right dimensions to match what you've got already but there are all sorts of capacities and sizes available ( I typically fly a 5" prop quad with 4S 1300mAh or 1550mAh batteries, get between 5-10min...

LiPo battery charge level for storage

I think just keeping in the shade/in a bag is good enough really the batteries get pretty hot when delivering power. The problem with a fridge or freezer is if the cells are below the dew point temperature then condensation of water occurs when you take them out and the condensation on the...

LiPo battery charge level for storage

Since you mentioned 7.4V pretty safe to assume they are 2S lipo batteries with bare minimum voltage of 6V and max charged voltage of 8.4V (avg is 7.4, each cell goes from 3.0V to 4.2V discharged to charged). 3V per cell here is absolutely a bare minimum you really only want to ever discharge...

LiPo battery charge level for storage

If you can share a link to specific battery type or images that helps a lot. In general you can just fully charge the batteries do a flight and time it, fully charge again, fly half the recorded time and stop and you should be pretty close to storage voltage level. You can in general just...

Question: Local FPV Group Cant Solve - Yaw Issue, Halp!

Is the FC soft mounted? What I mean is is the FC just on rubber grommets that are on screws that are held into the frame (kind of want the FC to float a bit so it doesn't feel all the jerks of the quad) I ask because I had a really really similar kind of behavior just doing some near the ground...

Flight time/Lift up issue with 1S Battery under 4V (Mobula6 HD)

I don't think you lose much agility at these sizes but the power can be too much for inside so you end up sort of losing throttle resolution because you'll never use the top end inside on say a 2S but I don't really know how much just increasing the frame and prop size will effect things by...
