You can completely discharge the rest of the way by submerging them in salt water for 24-48 hours .

That was my original plan, but a friend who has done a ton of mods on the Bugs 3 (including testing multiple camera and vtx combinations) insists you get much less video noise if you power directly from the battery.

I would suggest sending a few units to well-known and respected reviewers. Unbranded quadcopters with pretty much standard features aren't likely to generate much in the way of sales given the range of options available in the market.

If it's that new, why spend your time trying to trouble-shoot? I would suggest returning to the vendor for a replacement. Hubsan s are generally pretty solid, so a replacement should cure your situation.
