yay!

just back, wow 10 mins go buy quick lol.

that last flight was better though i didnt go to the park, was in my apartment area and i hit a few roofs and garages but looks like it can take a beating! i really need to get used to keeping it close cus i can see how scared i get when i get super high away, but luckily it doesnt drop signal after 50 feet like my x5c-1 did!!

im sure my apartment neighbors think im a loser who cant fly a drone good, but tbh i doubt they can do any better on their first try, people dont understand its not as easy as it looks.

i have really bad social anxiety but flying has always been my thing and i like how it makes me not give a damn what others think and it just gets me out there and flying and people will talk crap about me all day and i just trying to ignore it.

so basically you can switch between modes 1 2 and 3 by the number of beeps but the controller always says mode 2?

i also took off the camera and next flight i will do mode 2 hoping for better flight time.

dang i really need to get used to controlling the throttle, i keep going from full throttle to fall down cus no throttle lol.

and when i end up getting really high up and i get scared, that is not a fun feeling!! but hopefully when i get better at flying i can own the skies up there ;D

also it was cool cus there is like a pile of shoveled snow about 4 feet high, and i flew over it at full speed thinking i was gonna crashed, but i managed to fly right above it barely skimming the surface like an FPV PRO :D lol

wow just finished charging again :D

looks like with this JST battery and using my wall charger, i can go from dead battery to full charge in like 25 minutes!! ??

almost lost it!!! went over the apartment roof and i completely lost sight of it, but luckily the signal didnt cut out like my x5c-1 so i just flew by sound back to me lol

seriously, got to learn to go easy on the throttle, cus it takes only 1 second to go from "not high at all" to "omg this is bad...." high.

it's a really scary feeling when you are a new quad pilot and you get your quad up really really high and you aren't sure if you will be able to make it come back LOL

OUCH i cut my pinky finger BAD. note to self: do not walk from inside of your apartment to outside, opening doors, and putting on shoes, with the remote and drone on.... you are going to hit the throttle accidentally and its going to HURT

just went for a flight this morning...keep waking up 2-3am cus insomnia possibly related to adrenal problems :S been suffering this for years now, gonna try some magnesium today and before bed: drink a good bit of water, eat something light, brush, shower, lotion, take magnesium, meditate, saline spray my nose to stay moist and not get dried out, and taking multivitamin this morning...hoping it helps! :( also gonna vacuum my place nicely, it is FILTHY! wish i could wash my bedsheets, but impossible to get laundry done at my apartments

but flight this morning was nice! i love my u807, its everything i wanted the x5c-1 to be and MORE! tbh if i didn't want to get into 250 fpv quads, this u807 would be the only quad i would ever buy. i love it, goes fast, has epic range, and this morning was pretty windy, and its scary to see the wind push it back, but when i give it some throttle and forward pitch in mode 3, it doesn't even notice that there is wind :D, unlike my x5c-1 which would blow away if a pidgeon from 2 hours away sneezed.

also the u807 is quite tough. i have crashed HARD against cement several times and nothing has broken yet. this morning i went to do a bank turn but missed the timing and went full throttle down into the cement sidewalk! i swear i thought i heard something break. but its still good :D

i learn by doing things in small bursts, so im hoping if i can at least do a few mins of flying everyday i will get good at it. i feel im getting better and better with each flight. its still very scary when i accidentally end up too high, but im getting more comfortable slowly. i think most important thing is to not get comfortable too quickly, always good to remember that it only takes 1 second to lose your drone, so be mindful!

ill go out again after another charge... tbh i dont really like this LOS flying, i dont have the best vision and i easily lose orientation,
Grab some spray paint and lightly flash both sides of your front props (or back). Big difference. FWIW black props tend to disappear in flight.

Look what this guy did to aid orientation. Also note the video quality and lack of jello of the older, inexpensive JJRC H5C (X5 copy).

Not meaning to clutter your thread, but how the hell was H5C able to get such nice video?

Wow I would never guess that's an h5! Stable as a cx20!

So ya think I should spray paint my back props black so they disappeae and that way I can use the front white props as the front direction?

Balancing props seems to be awesome! Like balancing wheels on a car! Definitely gotta get one of those balancing measures.

JJRC has always had better camera quality as far i recall.

You will have to rig something up to be able to balance the U807 props or most any toy props...Standard prop balancers arent typically made for toy quad props.

You may find this interesting.

yeah! im quite happy with my u807, yesterday was pretty windy and it cuts through quite nicely! so far there is nothing that i dislike about this quad, though i hear motors burn out but seems like gearbests USA hub sells u807 motors for a few bucks and they deliver in just a few days after you order them :D and i like how the motors are just plugin to replace, no soldering or nothing - its like this quad was made for me lol

been getting 8-10 mins flight time, and the battery charges all the way to full in just 25 minutes when i use my wall charger :S

Affirmative on that. I haven’t had to replace motors yet on my U807 but I did order a full set when I was picking up some random spares. And – yes – got them from GB/USA and they arrived in less than week.

i was worried about my banggood delivery taking 3 months like lot of people i have saw online, but i ordered last friday and this is what i see today :D

i guess the main thing is to avoid the "7-20 day shipping" - but im guessing if its in stock and you pick 5-9 or quicker it shouldn't take too long :D

today we got about 5mph wind with 12 mph gusts, which was way too much for my possibly defective x5c-1, but im hoping my u807 will be ok :D im very excited now :D to think that i will be out flying it in a few hours :D (mail comes around 2pm + ~1 hour to charge battery)

just to think my u807 is out there on the usps truck driving around town right now waiting to come to me :D

gonna watch this video like a million times lol

Wth? I've been waiting for my racer 250 (feels like forever) and is says usps has received notice that it will be shipped. I get the idea that the China post office is not in a real hurry. I'm about ready to fly over there. I'm like a little kid desperately waiting for Christmas morning. :)

I placed my first order with Banggood on Friday 25th February. The order quickly progressed from "processing" to "shipped" by early Saturday morning (26th Feb). Understanding it takes a day or two for tracking refs to catch-up with the postal service, I didn't bother checking for further progress 'til last Wednesday.

Nothing.

Thursday? Nothing.

Friday:
I used their online chat function to find out what was going on… My items didn't *actually* ship until Thursday 3rd March. The rep's excuse? "it delay" (sic). Nothing further!

No real biggie - I'm really not in THAT much hurry for either a box of heat-shrink tubing or a pack of servo extension leads, but (and as a first-time customer with these guys) it mildly irritated me that they were quick enough to charge my paypal account, then throw any random term on the order to make it seem like things are happening when clearly they weren't…!

<Sits back down quietly, inserts thumb in mouth, rocks gently too and fro. There's no place like home, Toto, no place like home>

Today we finally had some nice weather. Snows gone and 14 degrees, just did my first flight with the U807. I've only practiced in the house with a nano and that's the best advice I've gotten here. 3 batteries and no crashes!! And after only ever flying inside, what a sense of freedom, I felt like God controlling the planets. Quite impressed with the U807, easy to fly and quite stable with about a 5k breeze. Last flight was a few minutes ago and it's pretty well dark. The only thing I found was that when the batteries get low and the lights start flashing, they're quite intermittent and if you're at much height it basically disappears. But I'm learning very quickly that if you get into a little bit of trouble, the worst thing to do is panic. Easy to say, harder to do

i know the feels man :( hope it comes soon

tbh im done with my u807, tired of crashing and I HATE flying LOS....im gonna get the falcon and goggles and if that goes bad ill just never do drones again. had a horrible experience with my glider and evertime my u807 pisses me off i start feeling the glider feelings from 2006. maybe im just not meant to be into air stuff, even though i was in the air force i only lasted 4 years and my bird doesnt even want to play with me much and i cant even fly this 40$ quad properly. tired of all the BS in life, every time i try to get into something to help me cope with life, god finds a way to use it to make me even more miserable.
