i was worried about my banggood delivery taking 3 months like lot of people i have saw online, but i ordered last friday and this is what i see today :D

i guess the main thing is to avoid the "7-20 day shipping" - but im guessing if its in stock and you pick 5-9 or quicker it shouldn't take too long :D

today we got about 5mph wind with 12 mph gusts, which was way too much for my possibly defective x5c-1, but im hoping my u807 will be ok :D im very excited now :D to think that i will be out flying it in a few hours :D (mail comes around 2pm + ~1 hour to charge battery)

just to think my u807 is out there on the usps truck driving around town right now waiting to come to me :D

gonna watch this video like a million times lol

If you bought it from the USA warehouse ,7 days seems to be about how long it takes for full delivery...Ive ordered quite a few things from the USA warehouse ..none has taken longer than 7 days...I just wish they would stock more popular quads.

The U807 is slightly heavier than the x5 and has more power but its still not something to fly in windy conditions and especially up high in those conditions....It wouldnt take long to burn up a motor fighting heavy winds...In any case a nice little quad..Hope you have better luck with it.

damn...there is ALWAYS a catch with everything in life it seems :(

I gotta get one of these, this guy's flying in 20mph wind, though hoping when i get my falcon next month it will be better in the wind cus i hear that the falcon upgraded a lot of things over the racer and is a lot more stable too.

Yea..the toy quads arent near as powerful as brushless quads but even still you need to be aware of wind conditions...What we feel on the ground doesnt mean whats up 25 ft or higher isnt double or even triple the mph.....You can lose a hobby grade quad from winds as well...Conditions are important for all types of quads.

Glad you're getting your U807. As a quad beginner, these have become my favorites. Liked the first one so much I ordered a BNF (black version) as a back up. I was also out in the wind this morning and really watching my throttle as it was lifting like crazy. Doesn't take long for one to start flying away.

Enjoy it.

thanks, yeah i learned to watch out for wind with my x5c-1, the day that i crashed on the lady's house i can now tell it was cus of wind, because that day we had 15mph wind, and i was thinking under 20mph was ok lol.

i saw it go up and up and up and i think my controller or something was defective because it would lose signal after like 50 feet, so i gave it only a little throttle then the wind carried it away and i lost control, and i chased after it trying to regain signal, then crashed on her roof lol D:

it should be here in a couple more hours, then i will charge the battery and record a maiden flight for you guys :D

so i got the battery plugged in the charger and the red ligth is off, so does that mean its a fully charged? this "instruction manual" is written in the worst version of english ever lol

first impression: this thing is really flimsy, from the clips for battery/camera to the springs to put batteries in the controller (if u dont press it down and quickly close the cover, the batteries will shoot up at you!) but hoping things will be good when i get in the air!

edit: guessing its fully charged now cus the red light just came on....in the words of qc101, lets go for a flight!

also no prop guards cus YOLO!!!

Some show a red light then turn off after charging and some show the light after its charged which is the case with the U807 charger...you will see the red light on when its done charging.

just came back from my flight. phew it was scary. uploading video of it now, it sucked cus there were some fire fighting people behind me watching the whole time and i lost control at one point (after video was off) and i was over the highway and i couldnt tell which way it was going :( i got so scared!!! i thought id hit a car or lose the drone but i manged to somehow bring it back.

HOW DO I CHANGE RATE MODE?? i was in mode 2 the whole time which was annoying and i hit the mode change button and it kept staying in mode 2 :S

at the end i crashed into a pile of snow.. i took out the battery to charge and dry the drone, hopefully it still works :/

Rate mode is the button at the very top left side of the remote...Pressing it once and should give you 2 beeps which means high rates.

ill go out again after another charge... tbh i dont really like this LOS flying, i dont have the best vision and i easily lose orientation, also i always grew up playing flight sim games im thinking i will like the FPV experience a lot more.

Youll like fpv till youre so far out when you lose signal then you can just kiss the investment goodbye.

LOS is far easier than FPV...If you cant see past a certain distance than dont fly past it...I rarely find the need fly past 50m unless its straight up.

The manual is the worst. Suggestion before you go too far: Go on You Tube and check out a few of the several "how to's" on the U807. They will help you decipher the gibberish in the manual. Especially helpful for resetting the gyros after every flight. Also calibrating the magnetic compass for headless mode (if you decide to use it).
