X5SC problem

Problem is somewhat intermittent. One time it will fly great. Most of the time the drone does not respond to turning left. When I move the joystick to the left, it shows left on the display, but the drone doesn't dip left like it does going to the right, forward or back.

Has any one else experienced this?

Thanks in advance..........................

Try doing a re calibration with the gyros..Make sure all the trims are set in the centers and the quad is on a level surface.

1.) Power up the quad on a level surface
2.) Bind the quad as normal.
3.) Make sure all trims are centered and the quad is in its high rate mode.
4.) Move both the left and right sticks to the lower right corners..The quads lights will flash then stop. (when you get it right)..It is now re calibrated and should give you full control in all directions.

Any crash at all (even small) can throw the gyros out of sync...Re calibrating is something i do before every flight or after any crash with all my quads.

Thank you for your reply!

I have done 1, 2 & 4. On #3, I will try changing from low to high rate mode.

How do you "Make sure all trims are centered".

Centered the trims on the screen--never paid any attention to it before. Flew like a champ!

Tried to change from low to hi. Unable to make the change. Pushed the "A" button as very poor instructions said, but didn't change.

Any ideas on hi/lo???

If its a digital trim it will sound a long beep when centered...If its not digital you just simply put the sliders in the centers.

Im headed for work right now...check out youtube vids on the high low rate thing.

Finally figured out the Hi/Lo button. I'll try it tomorrow. Looks like the trim was my major problem as it flew great all day today. Went from unflyable to a lot of fun.

Thanks for your help............................

Used the high setting this morning. A pretty good breeze. Two days ago this thing was unflyable in any kind of a breeze. After some help from the good folks on the forum it now flies like "Top Gun"!

Great news to hear...High rate programs the flight board to be more aggressive...Remember, When you re calibrate your quad you want it to be in high rate.

When the quad acts up sometimes or after a crash its always a good idea to re calibrate to ensure its going to fly at its best...I just re calibrate before every flight and havent had a single issue with flight performance on any of my quads.

Hi can you tell me how you centred your trims on the x5sc? Thanks

See response(s) above.

On the transmitter there are little trim buttons next to the sticks. Just push them up/down or right/left as appropriate until you see them "center" on the LCD screen.

Edit: Have you checked You Tube for instructional videos on the Syma? There are countless videos out there demonstrating all sorts of trouble-shooting on many issues for these quads.
