Well, my first drone is a dud. Received it today and found it DOA after charging the batteries.

Purchased from egrandmart (ebay) for $55.00

Shipping was fast enough....but that was lost on a dead bird.

Problem? Only 3 motors work.
Could be a bad motor, loose wire or bad controller board.
Seller hasn't responded yet so not sure where I'm going.

Also purchased a 4 way battery charger with 4 650mAh batteries and you won't believe this but only 3 of the charging ports work! (Yeah, 3 is a bad number with these guys).

Tempted to just open it and hope for a bad solder joint or loose wire but it could also be a controller board ($10). If I open it, no return. Never got to fly it.

If I have to pay return shipping, it would probably be cheaper to go ahead and but a set of motors AND a replacement controller board.

I want to order a Cheerson CX20 but now I'm a bit gun shy now about getting a bunch of DOA drones.

D0n't wait too long. I bought an X10 lighting module that didn't work. The vendor wanted me to send it back on my dime. Just went through PayPal (easy online), had my money back in my account in 2 days and I never sent the defective one back.

Thanks for the info Jackson.
I'm doing the back and forth return dance now.
They want a video of the malfunction.

I agree. I sent them the video this morning.
I would be satisfied if they just sent the parts to fix it. I can do that.

I also bought a 4 way battery charger with 4 batteries at the same time (common thing to do I suppose) and the battery charger will only charge on 3 ports
so 3 seems to be my lucky (or unlucky) number with them so far.

I can feel the gyros work even with 3 motors running because it resists tilt and changes thrust so gyro works.

I hope they will just send parts to fix it. Could just be wire loose.

Well well well......
So I pulled the battery out this morning to plug it into the charger slot that hasn't been working...just to see if it was an issue with the battery having too much charge to trigger the red light.....

But once the battery was out I took a pair of magnifying glasses and looked inside the drone and guess what I can see?

The little red wire going toward the non functioning motor is completely dangling free. Not soldered or connected to anything.

Hmmmmm......I wonder if that has anything at all to do with the motor not working ???? lol

Well...no need to wait on egrandmart to reply anymore...I'm just gonna go ahead and open her up and fix that.....and check ALL the other solder connections while at it.
This is like being served a bowl of lemons....Now that I have to take it apart, I'll make sure ALL the connections are soldered good, possibly avoiding a mishap while flying....lemonade!!!

It "would" be nice, however, if they'd just send me a board for my troubles just in case this one still has issues for whatever reason.

Glad I looked. Tired of waiting...wanna fly!
