Will another transmitter work with syma quads

hi all.
First post.
Just got into this sport and was wondering if a Optic 6 Sport 2.4GHz work with the syma brand of quads. I have played with the range extension hacks with these quads, but the transmitter is a little low budget. I would like to upgrade, and use that in the future, while allowing this to also work with my little syma quad. Its a x4sw, great little quad and can take one hell of a beating. great one to learn the craft. Thanks for any input and have a great day.

The different manufacturers use different protocols. Sometimes the same manufacturer will use different protocols on different lines.

Anyone have any more info other than nope. Is it because of 2.4ghz? or what
Not sure if this helps...
I have a Devo 10 ( but my luck should change soon!) it uses Deviation firmware and it supports a number of RTF stuff from China. try www.deviationtx.com and look for supported models in the menu.
a Devo 7e is - they tell me - good value for money - around $70 - it uses the same firmware as the Devo 10 - but thats all I know about it...Oh yes... and its smaller than most other radios.
I am sure others will pop in to tell you which other radios support the same protocols as Syma.

Here are those on the list:

Syma X1 Quad A7105 Flysky Set channels to 5 and turn on WLToys 9x9 protocol option for flip control on ch5
Syma X2 Quad NRF24L01 SymaX Select 'X5C' option
Syma X3 Quad NRF24L01 YD717 Select 'SymaX4' option
Syma X4 Quad NRF24L01 YD717 Select 'SymaX4' option. New X4 version is using now the "SymaX" protocol.
Syma X5C Quad NRF24L01 SymaX Select 'X5C' option
Syma X5C-1 Quad NRF24L01 SymaX
Syma X6 Quad NRF24L01 YD717 Select 'SymaX4' option. New X6 version is using now the "SymaX" protocol
Syma X7 Quad NRF24L01 SymaX
Syma X8C Quad NRF24L01 SymaX
Syma X11 Quad NRF24L01 SymaX Includes X11C with camera
Syma X12 Quad NRF24L01 SymaX
Syma X13 Quad NRF24L01 SymaX

Enjoy.....

You might be able to uses transmitter, only if you know how to hack their board, which will void warranty on your quadcopter. I suggest like myself is to buy a quadcopter kit with board and everything and do it that way. Fun project. If your looking to build one I suggest buying from the best HobbyKing.com

OR... scour eBay I picked up a set of - alleged - Emax 2212 - 935kv motors for us$26 the same store has them as Buy Now for $69. I say "alleged" because they dont show on the Emax motors list on their website - but it could be obsolescent stock they sold off in bulk. There are untold numbers of stores selling quad building stuff... so you have to do your homework first and make a list of what you want and another alongside for you only need!
Be warned - looking at a home build quad on youTube and you see the bare minimum flying around. The bits you WILL need and many and varied and end up being - in my opinion- more cash consuming than the flying bits.

I am a getting anti HobbyKing - they are OK if you are in the US - but the Aussie store never has stock of anything really. I wanted a Naze32 flight controller - a little circuit board about 36mm x 36mm. Will fit in a padded envelope, jiffy bag or postal bag... no bigger than 6inches by 4 inches. None in the Aussie store ( WHY) to ship it from HongKong - they want around $29 for sloow delivery and upto $49 for DHL. The same thing from the Aussie store - 150 miles from me - would be equal to about us$8 - $12 and arrive in about 3/4 days. They lost me as customer unless what I want is in Aussie!
