A friend is looking for a camera drone around $100+-. Are there any that use a 2s battery as opposed to a single cell battery? I am concluding that all single cell batteries are worthless. The quads seem to slow down as soon as they begin to discharge. The ideal quad would be 250 or larger with a camera used to take video recordings. It doesn't need to have the camera operated through the transmitter so a camera could be mounted using its own battery.

This is well reviewed quad, pretty much hobby grade.

Looks cool too.:)

It also has a decent TX (HobbyKing sells a rebranded version) that with the addition of an RX(s) should be able to used for other builds.

You could strap on one of these for decent 720p video (it uses it's own battery.) Only weighs about 17 grams so flight times will not be barely impacted.

Looks pretty good.

More money that his budget, but a lot of bang for the buck. Brushless motors, a real TX, and a tunable CC3D FCB.

Lotsa vids on it.
