What quad to get?

Dear all,
I like the look of the
WLtoys V686G and the syma X8C… but which one is best to get? I'm going to be using it to film bmx racing with a gopro/ HD camera on the bottom… need some advice of what quadcopter to get with £150

The Syma X8C has pretty terrible video, whole lotta shakin (jello) going on.

The V686G video looks quite nice for it's class,

I'd get a set of replacement motors and props for anything you choose.

Thanks for the advise, I'll get the WL toys one! And he's probably got a sore tummy from dinner
Hold on!!!

I guess I wasn't paying attention. The stock V686 produces better video out of the box, but you said ...
with a gopro/ HD camera

It can't carry that kind of payload. Looks like it will have to be the larger Syma. It can do it , kinda, but be prepared for very short flight times and you will have to figure out how to mount it. You'd have better luck with the lighter HD cameras like the Mobius or new RunCam.

He flies like its not FPV, that is what made me say it , Sorry if not every one likes what I say but I cant see the point spend on a toy quad when for a little more you can have a hobby grade quad that will fly the pants off any toy quad.

Toy quads will never be as good as hobby grade quad, they will not last as long (many manufactures give a 6-8hour use life on core-less motors), and many are not upgradeable, why have 6 toy quads with 6 transmitters when you can have one good transmitter and 100s of quads that will fly off that single transmitter
Many times on this forum have people paid out for a toy and 3 days later they have to try and fix it, if they can get the parts and even after they have the parts it still will not fly so it gets binned and they have to start again.

Both toy and hobby grade have their purpose, toys are good if your not sure you are going to like this hobby and to get you started learning to fly, but once you get past this point it may be worth looking at moving on to better.

Sorry if you don't like my opinion but I always put this out there to get new members to think about the hobby not what they are doing today but in months to come.
