What quad or drone is best for me?

ive been looking into quadcopter for a while now and was wondering what your guys thoughts where on which I should get. My budget is up to $1500 at max and I'd want the drone for photography and videography. Leave your suggestions! Thanks!
 
If flown a bit. Not a ton but I can always buy practice one before I take my main out to get more hours in. I think I've got all the basics though.
 
Was thinking about building but realized I have little to no expireience building any type of drone or rc. I was looking at the phantoms but a lot of people said its not as good as you could get for that kind of money.

You don't need to have any experience, if everyone said that nobody would build one. :) I'd say that over 90% of the people who visit this forum or post their builds had no experience when they started that build or visit the site.
 
Hm ok I'll consider building do you have any links or builds I could check out? I'd like it to have return to home a gimbal for a gopro hero 4 preferably. Thanks!
 
WLToys new premium line is causing quite a stir with the XK DETECT X380.

Here's the full package with the 2D gimbal and their camera.

It's got all the extras, GPS, auto take off, return to home etc. And if the TX loses the connection it automatically goes into RTH.
