Parts for face shields for medical professionals/doctors. Started with white ones on Friday and gold ones yesterday doing some silver today.

Handful of one's from the last two weeks of so I don't think I've shared here too and more in the for fun category of things:
Pretty much all sunlu silk pla for these white, gold, and silver came as a combo pack for pretty cheap.

Nice to have more people contributing to 3D Printing and CNC section.
It might turn out to be interesting after all.
After seeing Renover's Forbidden Tower post, I went looking for it.
I printed the model in 3 parts...… rock base & steps, tower, and roof.
There is an option to print the whole thing, but I opted to do it the other way because I wanted to paint the model in different colours.

OK. I have "expanded" my Bridge House Over A River print...…….
I have added :
A house
A vegetable growing field
A Bridge to cross the river
A windmill
A tree
A few piles of boulders. Not knowing what to do with the open ends of the river, I put some boulders over them. Logical? Not likely, but I feel better not looking at an open end of a river.

The creator who posted this model to the web neglected to include the Roof stl file.
I have a Bridge House Over A River file which is a very similar model. So, I took its 2 Roof(left and right) files.
After several reprints I finally got the right size to fit to this new model.
P.S. The painting scheme is black on white...…. white house with black roof and black trims.
Somehow, the pictures appear to be more like bluish dark green.
Actual model is a lot prettier than the pictures show.

I had to resize some chess pieces I was making as replacements for someone and here's how I did it with Cura. His piece had a base of 33mm and the one I printed came out as 35mm. 33 divided by 35 is .94. So using tool on the left side in Cura, I reduced the size to 94% then sliced it. Came out bang on.

@davidhk129 have you started printing all of these before doing detail paint work?
They are looking more like out of a factory shiny models now cool stuff.
Gotta get some of mine to a buddy who is into detail painting once this quarantine business ends in a few weeks or a month or whatever it ends up being in IL.

Not sure of your question.
Answer : one printing and painting at a time. If I have 2 models I want to print, I would start one, then paint it. While painting the 1st one, I would start printing the 2nd one.
Usually I change my mind 6 million times before a colour scheme is decided. Some times I am handicapped by inadequate colour varieties I have. Testor enamel paint is expensive and does not last long. Only 0.25 fl. oz. each.

Guess just asking if putting a base layer of paint with grey or white before doing the more detailed paint or just going right to whatever color you want? Just asking cause looks like the layer lines are pretty well hidden (is it just one layer of paint hiding that or doing extra prep work before paint?)

I never use primer. I found that unnecessary. Sometimes I did a little sanding if and only if the surface is way too rough and noticeable. Otherwise, I just go right ahead with the colour I intend.
P.S. I use enamel paints by Testor mainly, and recently some by Model Master.

Well, I'll never be able to afford a Tesla Cybertruck but................ OK all joking aside, look at the poorly printed back half of the truck with what is called "salmon skin". After I printed it, I installed TL-Smoothers on all the stepper motors. As you can see in the pic, the improvement in the front half of the truck is quite dramatic. As an added benefit, my printer is basically silent now.
