Hi everyone,
My second post on the forums so far, thought id check in and say what i got and what i want in the future.

my current quads:~ yes i know nothing special

Hubsan X4 H107d fpv with modified wide angle lens
Syma x5sw wifi
Cheerson cx-30w fpv wifi

A bag of 380, 500, 700 and 6 x 850mah batteries
A bag of props that fit both the mini quads (handy)

looking to get a more serious quad i just cannot decide if i goin for fpv racing or gps long ranging,
fpv does seem the more attractive. can anyone recommend a decent beginners fpv quad full rtf with tx and everything?

Knowing what I know now, id just buy a kit to build. If you are going to be in this hobby, you're going to need to learn about the components anyway for repairs after crashes, mods, how they go together and come apart etc.... Lots of complete build videos to follow. Zmr 250/QAV 250 are both very common so theres lots of support available.

I owned 3 rtf kits that cost a boat load compared to build kits and still was forced to learn to fix them.

Don't try building a kit, buy a RTF as you first mentioned. You can go for a kit later after you've destroyed your first one. I'll venture there are thousands of DIY unflyable quads just sitting around gathering dust.

Buy and Fly is what I suggest.

Read the reviews, folks seem to luv it. Lotsa YouTube vids too.

Just grab some batteries (a 4S too if ya wanna take ride on the wild side), props and a couple spare arms.

I wouldn't say elitist, as I'm no better than anyone else on this big ol' planet. But yeah, I do tend to go overboard sometimes. So I'll change my suggestion to shop around for a couple weeks and find the absolute rock-bottom priced 250 sized quad you can find. Then you can start posting questions about why it breaks every time you fly.
