Things are changing fast...

What I'd really like to see is a replacement for Lipo's. Quadcopter tech has grown quite a lot in the last couple years, but the batteries are holding us back. Lipos are ancient as hell, been around since the dawn of the RC hobby. If we could getting something new that gave more power with a full day's worth of flying in 1 charge.... <3

May sound unbelievable, but so did being able to fly around with a pair of goggles not too long ago!

I suppose that if what I have won't work with what I want, then it is obvious tat I need to step up in rank. So, give it to me straight, that's all I am asking.

OK, what do you suggest or recommend?

I've been into this hobby for a little over a year now playing with the toy stuff (and a couple brushless RTF), so my answer may not be the best informed..

That said, I'd recommend a FlySky TH9X. Can be had for roughly $80USD from BG. With the multi protocol module (currently on sale for $9USD) I can fly the following from my "fleet" :

JJRC H8 mini, JJRC 1000, eachine E010, floureon H101, MJX600, syma X5C, cheerson CX-10.

It can bind with dozens of other "toy" models, and brings a whole new dimension of flying these inexpensive, addicting little buggers.

AND when you move up from toy grade quads (i.e. build or buy BNF) all you need is a FlySky compatible receiver.

Hope that helped in some way. Good luck in your search!
