Tarot 680 Pro build

Thanks for the info. I just got some more appropriately sized batteries for the 680 hexachopper and a VTX so I can at least do some PID adjustment in the field without necessarily needing to bring the laptop (though I probably will a few times since easier to make bigger adjustments there and possibly check out blackbox logs to see if I can decipher any of that). Still need to attach that VTX when I get up tomorrow and if it's nice out will hopefully get it out for a couple of test/tuning runs (assuming it takes off again and doesn't destroy more than the back up props I have here). Just hoping I can get it flying with the motors I have on hand since read other places they can be less than ideal, worst case I made it really easy to swap anything at this point so one way or another it's going to fly :D

Oh also FC I put on there is a Kakute F7 cause seemed pretty nice and had enough motor outputs to do the hexacopter, seems that's becoming a rare thing to find on FCs now too, appears mine should work with iNav? I haven't tried yet so far stuck with betaflight since its what I know. Also have a pixhawk FC here I could fall back on or try alternatively and some ground station radio link parts the seller from forum here included (along with GPS module and some other bits and bobs)

It flies!!! I finally got to maiden it for a few minutes. It is scary and it needs to be throttled up smooth but pretty fast initially to get out of ground effect but then once hovering a few feet off the ground it's stable (brought it up to about 20ft just under the trees still but not at Park just in front of my building so couldn't take it up too high). It flew for about 8mins and didn't destroy itself or anything else so have to call that a win for now. Going to take it to a park and get some video when it's nice out probably still flying it line of sight since camera is in shipping and I don't trust it yet but still pretty cool to see run.

4K Runcam Split attached, turns out I need faster micro-sd cards apparently (UHS-3 standard) so will be ordering that soon but it has video :)

3D printed the part acting as 30x30 -> 20x20 adapter board and holding my vid antenna and 3D printed little mount for the camera... I'll probably 3D print a little hood for everything that snaps into the holes up top or screws on somehow eventually too but not really planning on flying it acrobatic (too often :D )

There's also a PDB at the bottom of the stack I didn't get in this series of photos but basically just battery power runs into there and using it for some 12V and to feed power down into the frame then the frame top acts as a PDB as well and has places for power to split off to all the ESCs located out under the motors.

Small update made a shell for it also see JB started series on inav so that'll be helpful since I'm planning to start stumbling my way through that soon too. Have gotten out to fly a bit more and even tried fpv with it for a minute but definitely need to be in wide open space with this thing or be watching it Line of Sight and autonomous flying really with a finger on the disarm.
