Tablet screen glare

Has anyone had any luck with reducing glare and reflections on their tablet screens in bright sunny days? I'm thinking of trying a piece of polarizing film on mine. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks. I tried several brands of these and had no luck with any of them. I built a 9" deep hood and that was of no help. If I find something that really works, I'll post it here.

I am experiencing the same thing. I was going to order a hood, but now I am not sure.

I am using the iPad mini4. Which one are you using?

Depending on some answers to some questions I've asked the supplier, I probably will order a sheet of polarizer film. I'll post results here.

tried the sunglasses. almost blanked the screen in landscape view. sorta worked in portrait view. That's not acceptable.

I would love to just use goggles, but they do not work when you have to touch the screen to use functions while in flight.

I will be able to rotate the film to change the orientation of the effect before, and if, I apply it to the screen. It's all experimental right now. I'll get back...

Says something about the flat panel's shortcomings. Unless you're in a darkened environment the screen becomes basically unreadable. The back lighting has to be increased to overcome the glare and all that will do is washout the image. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Maybe, one day, you'll be able to control it with your mind. Just don't sneeze.
