Syma X8W Propeller question

I should apologise for this... but I can find no information online to help.

Background. I have never even seen a quadcopter except in photo/websites/youTube - but I ordered a WLToys 686G from Everbuying.... the short version is no stock for 2 weeks - added another 2 or 3 weeks for delivery IF they do come in......asked for refund.

Checked stock on a Syma X8W - its OK... ordered tonight.

Looked at spare batteries.... seems Syma dont have them relased yet and the X8C have different connectors.

Propellers.... according to a guy on youTube... the X8C blades will be OK on the X8W -
BUT they are sold in packets of 2 and seem to be in CW and CCW .

Just wondering if anybody has the Syma X8W and confirm the X8C blades are OK andcan advise what I need to order - the obvious seems to be pairs of each.

After dealing with China "support service" for the past 5 days..... I thought it better not to get involved again!

I don't have one, but all quads need both CCW and CW, and you WILL break them. WHEN you do it is always a pain to wait for more, as you have never flown before I'd order as many as you can haha.

Thanks for a quick reply to my post - I have flown before apart - from the international 777 - 747 etc flying "cattle trucks"-- a Cherokee - a Cessna 182 - long ago...( I also jumped out a couple of times at 2000 ft) and a glider... hang glider - paraglider..... but never a quadcopter!!

Checking out different quadcopters while trying to decide.. I took in the advice to get spare batteries and props... all seemed to be packs of four... I suppose looking at is not the same as reading the info!
I guess having just ordered tonight.... its going to be about 2-3 week at best before it arrives - so I can get another order in for props although I have yet to find any online store with batteries for it.
Thanks again...

Haha, your living the life, I'd love to go hang gliding or sky diving, but I'd have to spend 1000 in gas just to get somewhere I could xD Not counting the actual cost haha.

Does this look the connector you have?

Note ePacket delivery (a USPS service) from China can be much quicker than the usual China post.

Flying a quad can be an exasperating experience, you will crash many, many times. You didn't note where you live this is a USA ship.

A good way to hone your chops and master the basics for <$20.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I am on the Central Coast - 100klm north of Sydney NSW Australia.

EDIT - Just checked BangGood they have a battery listed as suitable both x8c and x8w - it appears the red plastic connector is "D" shaped - and no "pin" separation as in the eBay example.

One reviewer on YouTube states that the x8c parts - except the camera connection and battery are identical. He had x8c batteries and apparently chopped the connecter and added x8w type connectors.

BangGood - also have a warning:-

Description:
Item Name:Battery
Voltage:7.4V
Current:2200mah
Discharge capacity:25C
Usage:for Syma X8C X8W
Size:8.5 x 3 x 1.5cm

Note please pay attention to the connector,it is T connector,it will suit for Old Version X8C and X8W,not the round connector.
