Syma X8C Fast Blinking Lights and Controller won’t Bind

Hey i face this problem also today..

:( can't even bind syma x8g with remote controller.

Sorry to hear that! Is it just the symptoms that are the same or the way it happened too?

I've ordered a new RX board as mentioned above an will try to replace it and see how it goes. I have posted this same question on another forum and got this response... which makes me want to order a new X8C altogether. If I do that, apart from been an extra ~€100 out of pocket, I would have spare parts for everything. Well see...

Unfortunately I was so confident it was the RX board that I started experimenting with it and eventually just burned it, so now it's really bricked! I had ordered a new RX board anyway so we'll see, I also ordered a new X8C.
So when I get the new board (it'll take weeks I'm sure as it's coming from China and hasn't even shipped yet) I'll replace it and see if it works, if it's still the same I'll try the binding to different remote thing mentioned above by @Loqman Hakim.

I received my new X8C and was able to bind it to the old X8C remote. I guess I'll never know what exactly happened here.

I ordered my first X8C and it did this right out of the box- actually returned it since i had ordered from Amazon. Got a second one from China - right out of the box one motor would not spin- turned out to be a bad solder on the main board- I could move one of the FETs and it would run find- fly perfectly but every now and then crap out. My intent was to remove the board and check for issues- but before doing so i ordered a spare board and ended up swapping out the boards. The thing is perfect now. I inspected the board i replaced and could not see anything obvious - was thinking of bringing into our company factory and doing some 3D Xray to see if there were any cracked solder joints but since the replacement was $9 i am not going to bother. With the new flight controller the machine is perfect. It seems that a lot of these X8Cs are faulty right out of the box. This thing is pretty responsive - I am using it to get used to flying so that i dont crash my hobbyking X650F that I recently finished.

I've watched Youtube videos on installing a 2.4 GHz wifi antenna on Syma drones and their controllers. The process appears to be similar on Ai Freedom model drones, JJRC drones, and their controllers. I successfully installed one on my controller, and mounted one on the drone. But the videos don't zoom in close enough to show the actual connections being made on the flight control board in the drone. I can clearly see where the antenna is mounted to the board, but can't see the actual ground connection that I would have to make from the replacement antenna's coaxial cable. How is that done? Like on the Syma X8 boards, the antenna appears to be a short length of cable coated in clear plastic. But I don't see the ground connection.

Cuz there is none. Most folks simply straighten out the wire, punch a hole in the canopy and thread it straight up and out. Folks usually have found that adding a real antenna to the TX is what counts, RX mods don't seem to have much of an impact.

I suspected as much about the original antenna. I already successfully added an antenna to the transmitter, using a 2 dbi antenna in place of the 6 dbi antenna that came with the kit.

Hello Jackson, DanC, Chuck and Loqman Hakim,

I have purchased Syma X8G Quadcopter but the same plane lights are flashing fast but not connecting to remote controller to fly. I saw several videos but no result and I don't know is this remote problem or control problem in the mother board?

Please suggest if u know any solution???

Hey man i just read thru this and i have experienced simular issue after a failed antena mod solder attempt. The controller went bad from it. Luckily a new controller was only 13$ shipped from amazon. Later on we bought several more x8's, i got 4 new extra controllers sitting in my closet cuz i only use my one modified one for all my x8's.

Anyway ide bet my left testy its ur controller, and guessing you just got a lemon. Im in Oregon, if ur close get at me for a free controller

Fyi i buy syma x8w-v3's for 52$-55$ free shipping off amazon. Ebay has same prices. They come with brass motor gears and seem to be more reliable from my experience. I cant imagine paying 100$ for one thats craze. I think u should try to bind that old controller to ur new x8c and see if it will prove to be the controller all along
