SYMA X5UW upgrades

I have a SYMA X5UW on its way from ebay. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what type of
camera it has because I would like to upgrade it. Would it be simple? This is my first drone so
I dont know alot about them. Also any other upgrade suggestions would be appreciated.

No. Just fly and enjoy your quad as is.

You could gut it and install a real flight control board, escs and brushless motors like this guy did to his cheap mavic clone:

I suggest removing the camera (and prop guards) altogether. You'll get longer battery life and it will fly better. Just use the Syma to learn to fly, then start looking at drones with better cameras. These toy-grade quadcopters are great for learning, and I still fly my Syma X5 out in the backyard now and then. But they're just for learning and developing the muscle-memory you need to actually fly one of these - you're certainly not going to put any kind of serious camera on it.
