Oh nice..i never noticed the different style props in other pics before...Im on the edge of my seat to find out how the altitude hold works out and if they changed protocol again... Very X8'ish in design...hopefully that x8 style tx has decent range.

Are there any quads that have a separate power supply for the camera? That would greatly improve the flight time for a quad.
No different than adding a little bigger battery...you only need 100mah or so for 7 to 8 minutes of recording....so the stock 600mah battery the new quad has you would just move up to a 700mah and it should be the same difference in added flight time.

But yea, more weight isnt such a good thing...this new quad already looks super heavy compared to an X5C model...Huge body, bigger heavier props...bigger on/off switch (x8c)...I just want the Flight board from one if its compatible with the x8c tx and the altitude hold actually works...haha.

Still has the whimpy landing gear legs like the x5sw. The camera looks bigger. I made short legs with solid core wire and took the camera out of the case and mounted it inside the body (cut a little hole in front) . Use 1100 mah batteries and I get between 9-11 min with recording. Also to give it some color I painted the top half red with plastidip rubber paint. Looking forward to the reviews on this as well.

How did you go about mounting the camera?..im about to do this with my x5c-1..im not sure of any differences inside the shells between the x5c and x5s and w models but the body does seem to be a bit bigger..They are pretty much downsized X8C styled bodies.

On the x5sw theres a little control board platform that separates the board from the battery tray. There is a space under the board. I mounted the camera board in there and then mounted the control board back above it. Then a strip of duct tap to hold lense and cut out the battery tray to stick the antenna out.

Nice....on the x5c i have a control board with no space between it and the battery compartment...just some plastic strips to keep from hitting the board when sliding in the battery...Ill have to raise my control board to make a space to fit the camera board between it and the battery, as far in as possible to help keep COG....Ill be tackling this soon and adding it to my x5c mod thread.

I sure hope that new x5h board binds to a x8c tx...im loving flying mine with it.

Any chance you posted a pic of your x5 anywhere on here for me to check out?
