A separate power supply would infer another battery, hence more weight. More weight = less flight time.... have a separate power supply for the camera? That would greatly improve the flight time for a quad.
No different than adding a little bigger battery...you only need 100mah or so for 7 to 8 minutes of recording....so the stock 600mah battery the new quad has you would just move up to a 700mah and it should be the same difference in added flight time. Are there any quads that have a separate power supply for the camera? That would greatly improve the flight time for a quad.
from what i understand it will use barometer, which is the pressure sensor used on a quadcopter drone.
Still has the whimpy landing gear legs like the x5sw. The camera looks bigger. I made short legs with solid core wire and took the camera out of the case and mounted it inside the body (cut a little hole in front) . Use 1100 mah batteries and I get between 9-11 min with recording. Also to give it some color I painted the top half red with plastidip rubber paint. Looking forward to the reviews on this as well.
On the x5sw theres a little control board platform that separates the board from the battery tray. There is a space under the board. I mounted the camera board in there and then mounted the control board back above it. Then a strip of duct tap to hold lense and cut out the battery tray to stick the antenna out.
