Hi all
Using some creative methods (pics to follow soon), I have managed to angle the camera so when you are darting around pulling stunts, banked corners and generally flying like a madman, the camera is not pointing at the floor but instead, in the direction of flight.

This is not a great video but it gives you an idea of what it's like: -

Agreed, the props are annoying but the actual modification is more of a botch job which did not require taking anything apart par se.
If I wanted to do it seriously, I would need to put a gyro balanced gopro or something like that under the unit...except then it wouldn't take off. lol

For now though, I like the results. Beats looking at the floor.

This is a side on view. The cable tie is used for changing the angle of the camera

I put extended screws in on the inside of the battery hatch so you can bring the angle of the camera down. For pictures, this new angle is best for horizons.

The cable tie means you can un-hatch the battery hatch and 'rest' the camera at this angle. When flying forward, the camera is then at the right angle to capture you flying round and flipping etc. The only downer is you can see the propellers. Not that it bothers me.

Cost of mod? 50p.
