sup guise, i ordered the quanum v2 goggles from hobby king and i picked the "us east, arizona warehouse" hoping for quicker delivery, but it has been over 1 week now and the tracking number they gave me still shows "not found" - i contacted support several times and they said its because fedex has a high volume of orders right now and are taking a long time to show tracking info, but that kinda seems like BS cus i ordered something from ebay a couple days ago via fedex and it was showing tracking info like the next day!

does my story sound similar to anything any of you have experienced from hobby king?

i have a lot of anxiety problems and im really starting to freak out - i think im going to order the eachine vr-007 just so i can get up in the air and i like how the 007 comes with a battery and charger, and if i get good enough il llater get a pair of skyzone goggles i think does that sound like a good idea?

so basically i lost 60 bucks for the quanum which may or may not come, but ill try to fight for a refund, i paid with paypal but used a visa card instead of my paypal account, but hopefully i can get the money back or something, I JUST WANT TO BE IN THE AIR SO BAD FEEL LIKE I BEEN WAITING FOREVER!! i have not flown since my u807 flew away!!

*Note: This is the viewing goggles only, and needs to be paired with your favourite Video receiver, transmitter, camera and battery for the full FPV experience.

That's the way all the Qanums come from HK, that's boiler plate straight from their site.

I see now, the $27 one is nothing more then a protection cover. Ain't that usually the grab when looking for a better bargain, if it is too good to be true it usually is.

You should be able to send the think back to hobbyking and get credit or a refund to then buy the other one, or you could just buy the sock, IF I remember correctly that is all that changed from the one on HK to the "pro" version.

Paypal is heavily biased toward the buyer, but hobbyking won't want to deal with you via paypal (they certainly know about paypal's bias). You should be able to get paypal to refund you and threaten HK to refuse their business in the future if they don't pay for the refund unless paypal were to decide to eat the cost.

i thought i ordered via paypal, but i used "check out with paypal" without my account (stupid me) so i do not see any receipt number from paypal or anything :(

getting pretty nervous, but im about 99.9% sure that the goggles wont come in the mail, and if they do maybe like 2 months later they will come lol.

for now is there any other set of cheap fpv goggles that you would recommend? eachine vr-007? or maybe the quanum v1 from amazon?

Look at your order on HK's website - their invoice includes a line to the effect of: "HK absorbed PayPal fees" in the Order Messages section.

Relax. It depends on the type of shipping you chose. Also in your account they check off as they go- order received, payment, packed, shipped and then send an email when your order has tracking avalable. Like everything, if you want it faster you pay more for shipping. Standard shipping takes awhile. Also the V2s are great. The Pro kit, like the add on kit comes with real lenses with 1-1.5 magnification. Rcreviews has a vid on it. And like Bruce I got the best picture by moving the monitor outside the case and stacking two lenses. In my experience so far, anything that says eachine on it sucks. That includes vtxs, cameras, antennas the propietary pcb and cc3d and arms and of course the ER250 that stuff mounts too. Anyway relax, your stuff should come. Hobby king has a live chat feature on their site. You could contact them direct through live chat with your order number and they can maybe help you locate your goggles and give you answer. Ive used live chat a couple times and they were very nice.

If you didnt get linked to your paypal and have to put in your password, then you would have had to pull out a credit card and type in your card info. One thing I bought from them took 3 weeks only because I wasnt in a hurry and didnt pay $3.99 extra for shipping. If you went with the cheapest, you'll just have to wait.

If you have your falcon you can still fly los. Practice tricks and learn how to tune pids. That will take a lot of time. I have a couple weeks into just learning and adjusting pids and rates for two quads I put together. Hardly flown fpv much in that time. Remember this is a hobby. Try to enjoy all of it, including learning how this stuff works, pids different software, cameras, recievers, antennas, building and fixing and mods. Its all supposed to be fun and a challenge Imo, and should not cause anxiety.

so no other recommendations for goggles? what about the vr-007?
I think those are pretty new, but you could look for reviews. I saw a vid somewhere that compared the quantums fatshark headplays and a few others showing the video for all of them. IMO, the Quantum V2s where right up there with the better goggles. If you get them you wont go wrong. The add on kit really put them over the top for me. I haven't used the others, but I don't need them either. I love my quantums. If I ever get to the point that I feel stupid with a box strapped to my head, I will shell out the $300-$500 for cooler looking goggles, but my picture is great as is.

yeah i agree with you. i really hope the quanum v2s come soon, they were supposed to come yesterday according to several hobbyking customer service reps, but ill give it a couple more weeks, if it still doesn't come i will try to get my money back and go for the 007s.

i saw a lot of reviews on the 007, and overall they seem pretty decent. i saw a few people mention they like the 007s over the fatsharks because its one screen that feels immersive where as the fatsharks kinda seem far away with a seperate screen for each eye - the only down side to the 007 is that the resolution is quite low, but it shouldn't matter too much for me.

but overall i hope my quanum v2 comes soon!
